Mockups for Lucky Dog cash hot stamps *NEW*

I've been thinking of a custom hot stamp cash set to go with my ASM Lucky Dog Tournament set.

Here are the mocks I'm considering:




and here are the tournament chips:


I'm just about ready to order, but would welcome any comments.

If you want them on the Hourglass mold you'd better call ASM now and leave a message, and call them first thing Monday morning. They're pulling that mold here soon - according to Sallie.

Other than that I think the die mockup is great! Hopefully you can get your hands on the blanks you want.

I recognized J5's hot stamp style even before I saw his watermark. Nice work, J.

L, these are going to look fantastic! I like them on Paulson blanks and agree with your color/pattern choices. Sweet! The image from the T5K translated very nicely to a hot stamp.

Really cool; we need more Apache customs done here.

If you are not dead set on the purple $25 may I suggest the green chip.
When new they kinda pop out too much and the chip looks a little busy.
But the spots gain a nice patina when broken in and then become subdued.
Get a sample stack and shuffle them for a week.
(BTW same for the pink chip; these two colors seem to pop too much at 1st, but the colors soften up and mix well with all the others in the lineup once broken in).

Great looking set! These should turn out nicely and compliment your inlaid set quite well. The stamp looks great on the Paulson chip. I also like the greyhound picture. I'm in the pet boarding business and dogs are my life. Yours looks quite comfortable in that photograph. Best of luck with finalizing your set.

Love the stamp.

One small thing to consider: I have that yellow chip as a $5 in an Avalon cash set and while I really love the chip/colour, it showed an extraordinary amount of dirt/marks after only a few times in use. The light colour + being the workhorse chip in the cash game is a killer with the light yellow chip.

The hot stamp also makes it a bit tricky to continually clean also.
