Hi folks,
Appreciate your opinions on this inlay. Is this much color allowed? I put a white border on it thinking those are the requirements. Does the denom have to appear against a white field to fit within the artwork pricing scheme?
I'm planning to buy a playable set of these T-molds, not sure of all the colors I'll buy, I just included these four for the pic. May buy the purple or the pink as well.
Thanks much for any input. If anyone wants to use this and share artwork cost please PM me.

The white border will be problematic, I'd avoid it. Everything else looks great, however, you'll be paying a premium because there will have to be a seperate film for each denom. The only way to keep costs down would be to have dark text on a white bg.

Yeah, like matty said, with the current proposal you're going to be rocking the $150 per denom ($600) plus $.90 per chip, plus $.15 per chip to HPC. So basically, you're getting it taken to you pretty hard.
Could be a great set though, but not cost effective unless you're making it at least a 1200 piece set.

You say this every time someone posts a potential BCC set with a white ring. Why? The warping issues have only happened on flame mold chips where the inlay goes beyond the recess. I don't see this being a problem on the T molds.
I know you've seen these...... http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/custom...-set-pics.html
Unless the problem will be how AWESOME they look! |

Unless the problem will be how AWESOME they look! | You're right, I do say it every time. I could say it about every manufacturer too. I only meant that it's a total pain to punch the inlays perfectly centered each time. Even my new Argyle chips suffer a little bit from being off center. That's all I meant.
In fact, I'm going for the ultimate in risk - I'm going 1 3/8" for my TMSC's!

Well, I got rid of the white ring (which I didn't want anyway--it eats up too much space on my design...)
Made a number of changes, most of them with the goal of increasing the amount of white on the edge of the inlay to make it more compatible with other chip colors in the series. Added more light rays, rays are now white instead of light yellow (yellow fought with many chips), text field is white instead of orange, etc...
So, here's the latest rendition for your comments
Thanks,
R-Ho

Actually, I think the white ring around the edge of colored BCC inlays is a good idea. There have been some issues with a white ring showing up around some inlays that are black background (samurai for instance), so by putting the white ring, you could make issue virtually invisible. Quote:
