The problem to me is although it gives a casino feel... it gives the mass produced feel ala here's white space you can fill. The logo not being part of the back but rather laying on top is less appealing to me. Might be no way around it but exploring other options might be nice.

That aside... they're awesome!

Not sure what to suggest... maybe a grid like the pineapple, a repeating shape with the cog form the center, projected lines from the center (if printing those will work), a rope weave like the spade border... just throwin' out random first thoughts.

First impressions anyway... Good luck.

Re: Protégé Custom Card Design!

I like the Ace, I like the backs.

4 pips possible?

Colors: the faded red you have here is nice. I'd couple it with a faded green (just because red & blue is done to death).

**EDIT** - There seems to be a lot of support for Gold/Platinum, which might look sharp as a stand-alone setup, but I don't think G/P go with the chips at all. Just my 2¢.

Ohhhhh, a gold and platinum deck of cards would look really elegant INMO.

Re: Protégé Custom Card Design!

I like the direction this thread, and chip line, are heading - with custom dealer buttons and cards and the like. Great work Magus-23 and Sidepot and everyone else who is contributing. If I had any artistic ability, I would volunteer to help.

On a related note, is anyone else counting the days until these beauties arrive, or have a guess on a good over/under line for days until their arrival? Mine would be 23.

Sorry for the delay -- I've been gearing up to direct a short film for the National Film Challenge this weekend, starting in... oh, about an hour and a half now. I've been absolutely buried for the past two weeks.

I have been making some progress (though more of the "Well, that sure doesn't work" variety), and hope to have something up once I get my head back above water.

Thanks to everyone for all the enthusiasm! Believe me, I share it, even if I haven't been showing it so much lately!

Re: Protégé Custom Card Design!

I know it's not exactly gold and platinum (more like orange and gray), but I felt like playing while magus is busy,,,
