can you post a picture of just the inlay, it's hard to read... but that could just be the screen shot.

I think it's the screenshot. I did a test print on my Canon i950 and they were crisp and plenty readable. The screenshots are nowhere near as crisp, because they are copies of copies. They look great in Photoshop, then they get saved as jpegs, uploaded to the web, transferred into chip forge, copied as a screenshot, pasted into MS paint and saved again as a new jpeg.....getting worse with every step. Here's a larger screenie that shows the text better:
Thanks for your comments thus far. Keep 'em comin'. |

Chiptalk user "flavah" gets the credit for turning me on to the Van Helsing font. I tried a half dozen fonts I found at the same website that I d/l'ed the Van Helsing font from, but I kept coming back to Van Helsing. It matches the graphic much better than what I was originally using - Copperplate Gothic Bold.
I also used the 3 colors from the German flag in the new $20 chip, just to be crafty.

Thanks, Rob. I wrestled with using a brown spot instead of the gray spot on the $5, but finally decided that the gray would stay. I'm already itching to play with them.

UPDATE: I placed the order with ASM today, October 10th. The mock-ups I posted are exactly the colors and spots I went ahead with for the order. The only change was an adjustment to the breakdown, to better accomomdate a 1/2 NL game. The final breakdown will be as follows:
100 x .25
200 x 1
200 x 5
80 x 20
20 x 100
This breakdown will fill a 600-chip acrylic carrier and gives me $4825 in chips. I doubt that the $100's will ever see play (especially with $1600 in 20's) but I couldn't NOT order a $100 chip.
Now, the waiting..... | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
