Okay, I was curious about adding a smaller, secondary stripe. I was going to use different colors on each chip, but was having trouble finding good combos for them all, so I went with either white or black, depending on which worked best.
So which do you like best - plain stripes or slightly fancier stripes? Do you think your opinion would change if each chip on the fancy stripes used a different secondary color?
Original Plain Stripes:
Fancier Stripes:
Plain but if you had another fancy I'd consider it... something about the bold black stroke isn't as appealing... close call though.

I like where the 'fancy' style is going, but of the two I must choose the 'plain'. The 'plain' style better matches the chip's face artwork. If the edge spots were to quickly color fade to the contrasting edgespot color it would better match the face inlay style.
John,
I like the fancy edge. I think they look good as you have them (black or white as needed). I'd have to see the other idea of using a darker shade of the primary color but IMHO I think the black/white is the way to go.
I have to say, these are some very nice chips.
When you finally order them do you think you might sell some sample sets? I wouldn't mind adding a set to my "custom chip collections" wall in my game room.
I agree with Fins and CNC -- the fancy isn't quite right as it is, so I voted for the third option (not that I can really visualize how that would look...).
I know you have been working on these, but they do keep getting better and better. And I have the feeling that these are almost there. (And I'll be looking for your offer to sell samples as you mentioned in the other thread!)
