My first mock-ups for a custom set. Whadda ya think?

Comments on my choice of edge spots & colors? I have yet to come up with the artwork for the insert. Denom would be .25, 1, 5, 25, 100, 500 & 1000. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Nice looking set, but where do you plan on having those done?

I like the inlay. Not too crazy about the gray chip and I would want the purple chip to be brighter. Just my opinion though.. definitley like your design

Heh, the artwork is stock art. I haven't drafted the custom artwork for the insert yet. I did mocked 'em up at sidepot's website, so I guess Blue Chip will make them.....assuming they've cleared up their insert and chip weight issues.

I think I may be bursting your bubble here, but Sidepot doesn't let you pick your own spot colors, and I don't think Blue Chip does either. You'd have to pick from stock spotted chips ...

You might want to consider ASM for your chips.

I think it looks really good for having all 7 denoms. I hope for your sake the inserts by BC are better than in the past. The other thing is the martini chip mold is very slick, at least the samples that I have. Just keep your options open until your sure.

Re: My first mock-ups for a custom set. Whadda ya think?

I'm not dead-set on having them done by sidepot. If they're still having trouble with sloppy inlays or if I can't get the colors/spots I want, I'll go with ASM or TRK. I was just wondering what people thought about my color/spot choices, that's all.

I know you were looking for feedback on your spot colors only, I just didn't want you to think BC/Sidepot would let you pick your own spot colors.

I don't think there's much that people can do wrong in terms of spot colors. It's all a matter of taste and preference. I like you spot colors. The only thing I can suggest is to try not to use the same colors anywhere in your set, whether it be a spot or a base color ... but again, that would be MY preference.

I think ASM would be the obvious choice for custom inlaid chips (when you want to pick your own spot colors). TR King makes a better chip than ASM imo, but TR King chips may be more expensive especially for smaller orders (they like to have a 5000 minimum for custom inlaid chips and smaller orders are subject to quote).

Re: My first mock-ups for a custom set. Whadda ya think?

I appreciate your advice. I went to the following link...

http://www.sidepot.com/poker_chip_factory/tool.html

...and just assumed that all of the options available on the configurator would be available on a custom chip set. I also think I agree w/you about not using the same color more than once.

I can tell that this website is going to be hazardous to my bank account.
