Ya, i knew the chipco had the spots on the edges as well, but I've seen them up close and wasn't bothered by them. After seeing the spots in the pictures, I'm not bothered by those at all either!!! I'm glad to say that ill probably be buying from NJ.

Excellent looking chips!!!! Can you list the vendor you went through to get the order completed? Interested in doing some custom NJ's myself and would like to get a head start without surfing all day to find the vendor.

Again, great Job!!!!!!!!!!

I have to admit I'm impressed. I prefer clay but I've always enjoyed ceramics and have thought about making my tourney set out of 'em. I was not impressed with the original NJ Dead Man, but thought the Desert Sand was a nice step up. The art fees for custom ChipCos are a bit high. What was the cost of these all fees inclusive? How big is the set?

Beautiful chips. Really, really nicely done. Makes me want to have some. Question, I notice that you bought equal quantities of all denoms. How did this work our in your tourney last night? What is the maximum number of players you could accomodate with the quantities that you have?

Heres the breakdown:
200-$5
200-$25
200-$100
100-$500
100-$1000
100-$5000
100-$10000
100-$25000

My standard tourneys are T7500. You're starting stack is:
20-$5
20-$25
19-$100
6-$500
2-$1000

Blinds start at 25/50 with a $5 ante. Double every 25 minutes.(we color up after 15 minutes of 200/400 40, then run another 15 at 250/500 50)

This structure works out perfect. Our games usually last between 1.5-3 hours, mostly around 2-2.5.

So, with my set I can have a 10 person T7500 tourney with the standard starting stack. Way more if I throw an extra 500 or 1000 in there for change. Our monthly games are a T2500, with 10/20 blinds to start. So that's not a problem either.

As far as the big chips, at the end of the night we play what we call speed poker. It used to be 15 minute blinds, with 1500 in chips. 25/50 to start. Those games usually last around 45 minutes. With these new chips, we did 300k to start, 5000/10000 blinds to start doubling every 12 minutes and it was a blast.

BTW, I didn't cash in my first game with the new chips. Ah well. It was a 25 dollar buy in, and I won one bounty. ($5 for every person you bust) Plus another 11 bucks drawing for high card at the end of the night. So it wasn't all bad.
