Custom Plaques **EDIT** My entire set

Well I have hinted about these and they are finally done. Nothing to outrageous which was my intention. Hell, we play in my garage for crying out loud!! Simple and straightforward, its what the Garage Poker Tour is all about!!

Thanks for checking them out!

This pic will give you an idea of the colors:

Gold/Black 10K--Black/Metallic Red 25K--Copper/Metallic Blue 50K

This one shows off the reflective aspect of the metallic colors!

Let me know what you think.

************************EDIT***************************

I decided I should make a cool chipstack like the other guys here since I am one of the few, and proud, I might add that tells everyone he bought cheap composite (not clay, or faux clay mind you) chips!!!!
SO here there are thanks for checking them out!!

Here's a close up.

Here's the whole kit-n-kabootle!!!

Here is a close up of just the chip stacks!!

Here's the set tucked away in my new case!!!

Well thanks again for checking these out!!

Looks good. How well do they hold up to banging against one another?

Very nice. I may have missed it in another thread, but what are they made of?

Thanks chipaddict!!

Dammitjim I have to admit I don't know yet because the paint is only a few hours old. Actually I put a final top coat of Acrylic Gloss on only 15min before taking these pics!!

Anyways I had these same chips before without paint on them, just painted stencil letters and they held up great!! These may need touching up from time to time!! Also I don't let guys splash the pot with them...if they fell just right on my official 11.5g two toned suited composites somebody might loose an eye from the massive ricocheting!!!

Simple and distinct. I like it. That implores it's own elegance.

Is that metallic paint? (on the 25 & 50)

I think you should team up with Ten, Acepokerchips, or Apache and start selling custom plaques. How much time do you have invested into these?

Thanks for the compliment. Selling these would be great! But I am not sure how custom I could get and still make them affordable to somebody else.

Well that is a good question concerning how much time I have invested! These started out as plain aluminum I had probably spent at least 2 hours sanding these to smooth the cut edges then I painted the letters on using a stencil that I cut--that was very time consuming to cut out. Then I decided to paint some gold and paint the letters--again time consuiming to cut out the stencil, painting was relatively short due to the fact that metallic gold paint dries very quickly. I then had someone, on this site, tell me about these stickers. I got in touch with a local guy and he cut them-- not time consuming for me . So then I had to strip off the old paint and start over.

Painting the black took the longest- 2 days off and on- I applied 6 coats to both sides, and it took a while to dry in between coats. The gold and copper to much less time to paint, they dried very quickly. It took about 20 minutes to apply the stickers and then it spent 2 nights clear coating them, about a dozen or so on the top and bottom.

So to make a long story longer I spent weeks in the development stages, and several days constructing them, but now that I know what I am doing I would have to say that it would take 2 days off and on work to complete a set (20 or so, not many more).

As far as cost goes:
The aluminum came from scrap at my fathers machine shop- total $15? 20? I am not sure because I did not have to pay for it

Paint: 1 can per color and 2 cans of clear acrylic gloss, I spent a good deal more than this due to the trial and error paintin

Decals: Nothing....the guys kid is a student in my class this year!!
Well I am going to pay him something, but he is working on a card cover design for me!! After its all said and done I will probably spend $20 on these.

Thanks for the compliment!! To answer your question they are reflective metallic color decals typically used on cars- you know those fancy stickers where Calvin is whizzing on the Ford symbol, or the pinstripes on the side of your car.

Thanks for the compliment dad!!!!

Great job, I love those things. I would really like to use those in a home game.
