Pic of pc.com base colors (all 15)

I found the pic for you guys. It is of all 15 base colors from pc.com. I took them out in the sunlight to try to get the best representation of the colors. The orange is more of a "rust" color and the yellow is more of a "mustard" color. In pic one the color scheme is:

Row 1 - Black, Chocolate, Red, Mandarin Red, Orange
Row 2 - Blue, Imperial Blue, Purple, Lavender, Pink
Row 3 - Green, Light Green, Yellow, Grey, White

In the next picture, the colors from top to bottom are: White, Grey, Yellow, Light Green, Green, Pink, Lavender, Purple, Imperial Blue, Blue, Orange, Mandarin Red, Red, Chocolate, Black

nice pic! That should help out some folks. Your lighting seems to really highlight the colors well.

People should remember, however, that nothing is better than holding chip samples in your hands and validating the color yourself. Monitors/printers just don't represent what it looks like in person - but they can be close.

With chips such as ceramic Chipco's, the number of color options are greater - and even printing out their PDFs, etc, didn't give the same end results as me ordering their color sample set.

My final chips turned out just like I wanted - but they, to me, do not match the printouts/displays of the final plans. They do, however, match what I intended them to look like - which is more important.

re

It is definately tough to judge by looking at the screen. I compared the chips in person to the pic on my computer and they are pretty close.

Just remember every monitor is different, Just because they look close on yours doesn't mean they will be the same colors on mine.

Exactly! Keep in mind that if you have an LCD monitor, the colors will not look as good as if you have a CRT (larger monitor that takes more desk space). One of the first things many notice when switching to an LCD is that the colors are not as bright or vibrant.

Well after seeing these pics and how there's very little contrast between white and grey, I've changed my solid white chip to white with blue spots.

Now I'm getting the following:

.25 grey
1.00 white/blue
5.00 red/purple
25.00 green/yellow

Thx,
