Chips: 393 | | | Hey Clonexx,
Did you have to pay any extra for PC.com to oil your chips for you?
Is that something they do often, or were they surprised by your request? Did you have to specify what kind of oil?
Just wondering. |

Thanks |

Just wondering. | I asked about it and Jane (who no longer works there =( ) said that they used to oil chips, and still will if someone requests it and is a repeat customer. I had bought from them before I ordered my custom set, so I was considered a repeat customer.
Theres no harm in asking for it though even if you aren't...worst thing that can happen is they say no. I did not request a specific oil, I just left it to them to do the right thing, which it seems they did. |

| If you are going to order from them anyway, why not place a small order for samples of each color they have. Then you are a repeat customer. I did this and I don't even remember the total, but it was less than $20
Seems like a really cheap way of getting your chips oiled to me.

Chips: 393 | | | Thanks for that info. I did order a sample set, so maybe I qualify as a repeat customer. I'll call them this week and see if they can oil them. I'll let everyone know what they say. I imagine that many people may want to try to have their chips oiled if they can. |

regards | The labels are "pressed" into the chip. Hence the name, "inlay."
PC.com has an artist who will work with you to come up with a design. If you have a design you can send it to them, or he will work with you and come up with one. The more direction you have going into it the better though.
If you want some more info on the inlay process you can check out Homepokertourney.com. He has a nice picture of one of the inlays removed from a chip so you can get a sense of how they are put on. |
