My PokerChips.com order has arrived!

I ordered a 500 chip set from Pokerchips.com a little over a month ago and they arrived today. I couldn't believe how little time it took them to get them. These chips are an anniversary present from my fiance.

I went with non-denoms as I play a variety of different games and didn't want to have to worry about what number was on the chip. I got a case for them as I take them over to other peoples houses (I will be taking them, I should say).

The order came with a few extras - five of each color which I thought was really great. I haven't looked at each chip for defects yet, but a cursory glance shows not a single problem. I will be oiling the chips - I rubbed a wet finger along one of the stacks and couldn't believe how muchy brighter the colors were on them.

I think the chips are amazing. The sound, the feel, the look - these things are gorgeous and I am extremely happy with the whole process of working with PC.com.

On to the pics! Let me know if you want more, my camera's battery was dying and I had to be quick.

Grats on your new chips - they turned out great!!

I'm starting to like those "horse-head" mold chips. I may have to look into those myself for my future set.

Thanks for the compliments - I really like them a lot.

It actually took me a long time to decide to get these. My fiance wanted to get me them for over a month but I didn't let her do it because I thought they were too expensive.

The horsehead mold is pretty neat. I got samples of all the molds, and the horsehead one just looked the most....regal, I guess. I didn't like the other molds at all, the horseheads just look classic.

Here are the colors/quantities I used:

150 Red w/ Arc Yellow (my favorite by far)
150 Yellow w/ Lavender
100 Blue w/ DayGlo Green
50 Purple w/ Pink
50 Black w/ Mandarin Red

Because I ordered a case along with it (that I bought myself..wasn't part of the gift) they threw in two new decks of Bicycle cards. I also got two issues of Bluff magazine, which I hadn't even heard of yet. Haven't had a chance to look at them too much yet.

I can't wait to play tonight

Sweet - I hope you clean house. Nothing like making back some of what you have invested in your chips.

I didn't clean house, but did end up a little bit for the night, so it was good.

I couldn't believe everyone's reactions to the chips - they couldn't stop talking about them. They play soooo nice - the sound, the feel. Man...they were great.

They didn't come oiled, but I oiled them using mineral oil. My fiance oiled, I dried. It only took us about an hour and change to do it, but we were working really fast. We didn't have much time to get them oiled before the game, and we wanted them to look PERFECT the first time everyone used them. The oiling did an amazing job. Here are two before/after pics - it has the most dramatic effect on the darker colors.

**Edited post to follow guidelines. Put the before/after oiling pics in the first post.

Nice chips, I love that horsehead mold. I like your Blu/Green and Purple/Pink chips the best.
