Chips: 67 | | | My PC.com chip order...badfish
Have to use a scan until i get my camera back (sorry). But atleast you can see the colors if you are planning your chips. Click on the pic to get a more detailed image. I orderd 700 chips and recieved 25 extra (5 of each color). The HH do have a slight recess on the chip. I will be putting labels on them (iknow, i know...but i have used chips that were clay and that had labels on them before.) I couldn't decide what to put on my chips...so this way if i dont like the label...i can remove it...clean up the chips, and put new labels on. I oiled the chips using mineral oil, and it made a world of difference. Chips feel and look much better. Anyhow..here's the breakdown.
240 Light Green w/ Blue
120 Red w/ Arc Yellow
150 Black w/ DG Green
150 Purple w/ Arc Yellow
40 Yellow w/ Mandarin Red |

Chips: 11,932 | | Looks pretty sweet - I hope you like them and, more importantly, win with them. The only thing more satisfying than wining back a portion of what it cost to buy your chips would be winning enough to cover the entire purchase.
I hope we both find out for sure soon.

Chips: 138 | | | Pretty nice set. I love that horsehead mold. Those chips will look even better once you get those labels put on. Good choice.

Chips: 8,582 | | | Looks real good, I'd also be interested into how those chips are going to look with labels on them. I'd be concerned about stackability after you've put a label on that non-recessed chip... |

Chips: 67 | | | Well, the labels were a failure...in my mind anyways. The chips stacked fine, but it changed the feel of the chips. They felt almost rubbery and too smooth. So even though they looked good, i couldnt deal with the fake feeling. So ultimately i ended up removing the labels. Maybe if someone made a rough surfaced label that mimmicked the surface of the chip, it would work better. But for those of us on a budget, 50c a chip is a great deal, especially since the people i play poker with know the denomination to color ratio by heart anyhow. |

Chips: 14 | | | You can order Horse Head mold without labels for .50? The website says only the roman and circle mold. |

Chips: 303 | | Isn't the label application done before the compression process?
If true, it would be neat if you could order them plain with an indent where the label went- making them as easy to label as nextgen's.
Or can you? You'll have to excuse me here- I'm a bit new to actually having HH's in my grubby little hands to play with. Only got some samples within the last week. But it didn't take me long to realize why people like these so much. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
