Chips: 1,845 | | | I guess it would be nice as a conversation piece or something like that. Seems like it would be a pain in the ass to actually play on though with all the extra railings and every other obstacle that would make it difficult to rake all the chips in. Whatever, I guess. You won't have to worry about me as a customer with that attitude. |

Chips: 47 | | | No Doubt! How do you push all in?!? Guess I'd have to learn a new method of intimidating everyone at the table with my all in push (lol)!
On a more serious note, I worked with JMDA on this table and the playing surface and rail were built rock solid with good quality products (Volara, whisper, ect.). It was built "portable" for a good reason...it needed to be portable. I'm in the process of building a more permanent table and will post pics when I'm done. However, I'm taking my time and will probably be a while on pics.
While we're at it, what's everyones opinion on tables. Racetrack or no racetrack? I realize this is a chip forum but they do go hand in hand. I prefer no track. I like playing with my chips on a padded surface. I also think tracks lend themselves to people putting drinks on the surface causing wet spots and possible spillage. I also don't like drink holders built in, I prefer the slide under the rail kind. If a drink holder isn't being used on a racetrack table you end up with a hole in your table where chips/cards could end up.
But that's just my opinion...we all know what that's worth. |

Mr my tables better than yours=not so sweet. Are there spinners on the casters of that table? Sometimes, less is more.
Anyway, my table has a racetrack, but no cupholders. I don't allow drinks on the table. I like the ease of stacking my chips on the racetrack. My next table will be no racetrack though, just so I have one of each. As far as preference, I think I like the racetrack because you kind of get the best of both worlds. |

Chips: 1,845 | | | Let me preface my opinion by saying that I have not played on a racetrack table.
I think far and away the racetracks look much nicer. Especially some of the woods and stains I've seen used. For an occassional use table, I would probably go with something that's going to look nice.
For something that's going to get a lot of use, I think the non-racetracks are more playable. Only one surface to worry about and no lips getting to and from the padded middle.
I was going to make my 2nd table a racetrack, but after I read about some of the playability issues, I decided to go with no racetrack. The playability and the requirement for a little more complex carpentry sent me away from the racetrack. |

Chips: 138 | | | Pretty nice table and chips. The rail and felt look pretty nice if the table itself is sturdy. I wouldn't mind having it.
