Ram's ASM Chips arrived today!

My Pokerchips from Pokerchips.com finally got here! My first reaction to opening the boxes was WOW! In the words of Paris Hilton "These are HOT".

As I started going through the chips for a quality check, I was surprised at how many bad ones I was finding. So far I've just gone through the green $25 chips and have found 19 with severly misaligned labels and 17 with excessive chipping and mold deformation. I received 5 extra chips for each color. So far indications are that this will not even be close to covering the number of bad chips I received. I will contact PC.com to find out what to do about these after I have completed my inspection.

Here is what I ordered:

400 Green/Dayglo Pink $25 chips
500 Black/Dayglo Green $100 Chips
200 Lavender/Dayglo Pink $500 Chips
100 Yellow/Imperial Blue $1000 Chips

Here are a couple of pictures I have taken. More to follow.

These are all 1200 of my chips plus the 20 extras (5 of each color)

Here is a close up of the labels (Notice the deformed $500 chip).

Wow, 9% defects is really high. I'm sure they'll make it right for you. What a bummer though. They look great though! The yellow doesn't look that mustardy in these pics. I like the lavender/dayglo pink!

How do you like the background colors on the inlays?

I was hoping that the background would more closely match the chip color but pc.com said they couldn't guarantee that it would. Even though they are not a perfect match I like how they turned out.

These pictures are a little bright because the yellow is definitely the typical mustard yellow every one refers too. I like the Lavender chip too! The picture makes it look like there is not a lot of difference between the edge spot and the lavender body, but in person it's easy to see the difference.

Yeah, I thought they would have matched a little better. I forget, did you/they use the pantone values I found/reposted? If not, I wonder if that would have even made a difference. But I do like how they turned out too.

Well, the first picture with the spares stacked on top shows the contrast pretty well.

Looking forward to more pics!

Wow nice chips!!! But only 5 extra??? I recieved 20 extra of 3 colors and 40 extra of my largest color. And my defect percentage is way less than yours... only 1 misaligned label and only 1 grossly defective mold. Other than that, a few minor chips here and there, but I don't consider them defects.

Justin

help me...

Can someone point out what is wrong with the $500 chip ? I don't see the deformity.....

I really like the color schemes on these chips. The Inlay isn't my taste, but they are nice chips. Congrats!

Look at the outer edge of the chip, on the lower left of the bottom edge spot.
