The problems range from misaligned labels, Labels peeling off, missing vinyl covering, mold deformation, mysterious cracking in label ($25 chip only) and, here's the kicker, 1 missing edge spot. I'm pretty convinced that there was no inspection done at all on these chips.
Wow... have they ever heard of QC?

Heh, have you heard of the delete key? You don't have to quote the entire post, including pictures. <-- means I'm just kidding/teasing

But you can edit the quote to include only what you're specifically responding to.

Well, take a deep breath and wait until Monday to see what they have to say. It may take a bit longer than that, if all they'll still say is that they have to see the chips first. But I would think they'd reproduce the entire order, and should do so right away, at the very least.

I can't imagine how frustrating this must be for you. Maybe there was a problem with the 1" inlay production line. I was told it was a separate manufacturing line, and they don't do it often anymore (plus that it takes longer for production). It's possible the line hadn't been used for a while and was out of kilter. That doesn't excuse the fact that these chips with glaring errors were sent to you though.

I've always thought of ASM as about the third best quality of any chip out there. I can't belive this happened to you.

Do any of you find that the horsehead mold tends to be a better all around chip, or is it just me? I never see problems like this on the HH.

Sheesh, looks like ASM has caught a severe case of Endyitis. I really feel for you, ram1962, and hope you get adequately compensated. It is totally unacceptable for custom-chip manufacturing of this caliber to be as jacked-up as this. I also understand your desire to just reject the whole lot and ask for a refund, but that would be a lose-lose deal. You have given them a chance to make things right, let's hope they do.

Well, I'm not. This must be my second pet peeve, after content-free posting. I'm glad I'm not the only one who notices this. Just takes a little extra time and care to save us all some scrolling and Ten some bandwidth. That's all.

When I read this thread last night, that is exactly what crossed my mind.

No one has ever posted a disaster with the HH molds, all the disasters have been Roman or Circle.

unbelievable! The most shocking part is that quality control did not catch this. Ram, these are not minor blemishes, and I'm sure PC.com will replace all of your defect chips with some extra.

Wow, that does look pretty bad. For 95 cents a chip I hope they help you out quick and dont make you wait 10-12 weeks for the replacements.

When I got to work this morning there was an email from pokerchips.com asking if I had finished my inspection. I called Cathy and explained the situation with chips and asked her if this number of defective chips was unusual. She said "No" considering the size of my order and having the 1" labels. She seemed very anxious to get the matter resolved as quickly as possible. She also informed me to return any chip that I had even the slightest concern about.

They will inspect the returned chips and re-make them as necessary. I asked if any could be repaired? She said that they couldn't be repaired but they will remove the labels, recycle the chip material for future use, but re-make the chips.

I'm feeling a lot better about the whole situation and I apologize for being so negative in my previous posts. I was having Mike Matusow like mood swings on Saturday when inspecting the chips. "Why is this happening to me? I'm such a nice person."

I've decided to focus on the positive and to start oiling up the good chips.

As long as you didn't start crying like a baby (or Matisow), then you were totally justified in your reaction. I would have been pretty disappointed myself.

Ram, early this moring I emailed PC.com about my order, in it I included links to this thread and Space's thread asking which I should expect on my order
I asked them what thier inspection process was, and she said "better than that!"

Anyways, I am still anxious for getting my chips. PLus my inlaws keep wondering when thier card will be charged, since it was a gift.
