My PC Chips are here!

I placed my order on Feb. 8, and the chips arrived today April 26. I was very surprised and happy with the relatively speedy process, but I have to admit that I have been pushing pretty hard to get the chips. Called PC.com maybe 20 times over the last two months, and gave them a deadline (because I'm leaving the country in June).

However, it seemingly works to be somewhat pushy with them. The total cost for the order was app. $550. The color breakdown is as follows:

200 White
150 Red
50 Green
50 Black
50 Pink

I received 20 spares with the order.

Overall I'm very happy with the chips. A few of them has minor blemishes and they are all covered with the classic PC.com glitter. Somebody once wrote something about an oil that would be great to rub the chips with. I wonder if any of you know what oil I should use, and whether it in fact is a good idea. One thing I've noticed though is that they are rather hard to shuffle. I suspect they will be easier to handle over time, but right now (fresh out of the factory) they don't shuffle too well.

Comments appreciated!

Those look real nice, I like pokerchips.com, they're cheap and look great! Nice stacks.

You're looking for mineral oil.

Really cool -- racked or stacked, they look great! They'll brighten up when you oil them, though that'll be a big job...

Congrats, and hope you win big.

Good luck with them and especially good luck oiling them. I oiled 1000 ASM non edgespot chips not long ago...it sucked.

Very nice! When did you give final approval of the artwork (I know it was your design), and when was your credit card charged?

I asked this, er, elsewhere, but now that you have them, how do you like the solid pink chip vs. the rest? I almost did the same thing with the yellow chip in my order, but ended up getting edge spots on those as well in the end.

Can you post a close-up pic of one of the inlays?

Thx,

My credit card was charged about a week ago. I received an e-mail from Quantumview, (which I guess is UPS) with tracking information etc. And the chips arrived four days after.

At first glance, when I saw the pink chip, I thought it looked kind of dull. However, I've just coated a stack of pinks with mineral oil and that REALLY made a huge difference. Really brightened up the color. Now, I'm very happy that I kept one chip without edge spots.

This is a pic of one of the spares. I don't have a scanner, so this is the best I could do. I will say, mineral oil coating of the chips really makes a huge difference to the colors.
