I have textured no-molds (600 of them) and there isn't a single spinner in the bunch. Actually, my no-molds are probably the best stacking ASMs I have.

I have no spinners in my Roman mold chips either. ASM eliminated that problem a while ago and they check for spinners as part of QC before they ship.

Thanks guys for the answer. Reason I brought this up was my Roman order from last year. Almost 25% was spinners. So

is not what I think.
No offence of any kind to ASM, just wanted to know. They helped me out with the problem anyway.

I just received 1500 smooth no molds and have inspected all of them. No spinners. The set turned out better than I imagined. I'll get some pictures up next week.
I wonder if weather issues during the shipping process caused some warping on your chips. In any event it sounds like Jim took care of your issues. In my experiences with ASM they have been wonderful to deal with.
This Clermont set is incredible and deserves to be on page 1 for the rest of the year! Congratulations sir and have fun with these.

My HHRs stack like bricks. Not one spinner in 1900+ chips.

I can attest that the no mold is indeed a spinnerless mold. Lots to love about it. Only visible downfall is the very significant stack height variation, which I could see being an issue for some.
Bottom line is these are hand made chips. Every mold has pluses and drawbacks.

i wonder if this is determined by which colors you use. that seems like a strange cause, but i only had any obviously noticeable height variation within the mandarin red quarters in my set. the rest - dark green, light blue, yellow, purple, white - were all pretty damn close if not as uniform as any other mold i have used.

I didn't order nearly as many chips as you, but I find it very noticeable across all six colours I ordered. That's not to say that it's terrible, but it's far more than molds like HHR and A-Mold, which are very uniform in my experience.
All stacks can have the same number of chips, yet height is often off by around a half a chip between stacks. I can't foresee it ever being an issue in a small friendly game (what most of us play), but in larger tournaments with higher stakes I would opt for a more functional chip with less novelty.

ah, maybe this is it - obviously the more chips within one color the nearer they'll regress toward the mean.
