ASM July Special - California Customs

They're here!

ASM July solid special
Designed by me in Photoshop.
Hourglass mold, 1" inlay.
Ordered:
125 blue
100 yellow
75 black
100 orange
Received all of the above and spares:
5 blue
14 yellow
12 black
10 orange

Final art approved: 8/8/2008
Shipped on: 8/27/2008
Arrived on: 8/29/2008 ahead of schedule!

Everything you have read about the helpful customer service is true. Cathy and Sandy were the best. Cathy allowed me to reserve my order on the last day while I worked on the artwork.

These are my first ASM and my first custom. I really like them but they are very different than Paulson. They are a little light in weight and feel hard with a rough texture. The mold quality was much higher than I expected. I haven't looked at them all closely yet but it looks really good. The inlays aren't all centered but it isn't bad. I did expect the 1" inlay to fill the hourglass mold a little more than it did but it still looks great.

One of the funny things to me was the first impression. I am so used to looking at everyones close-up detailed pictures that these looked really small to me in real life! I felt like I had to squint to see the hourglass mold. It really caught me by surprise
IMO the mold looks way better in person than on the pics. It is very subtle it just looks great.

The pics...

Added high-rez scans.

These are sweet! I have my customs in "Cali colors" too. This was an interesting design topic when you put them together and they came out fantastic!

That is such a perfect inlay design. Love it. Great color choices, as well.

Re: ASM July Special - California Customs

Wow. These turned out GREAT! I was interested to see how the stacks of Orange chips would look. My next custom set is going to have an Orange chip in it and now I'm even MORE excited about them. If only I could muster the courage to place that damn order. Anyway...congrats on the new chips. I hope they bring you lots of luck!
