Congratulations to you Drew on IMHO the best looking set out there right now. And congratulations to ASM as well on an amazing job of tweaking the inlay and doing the colour matching. The gradient matches are perfect.
Only two spots on the whole set are not quite perfect. The DG yellow on the white $1 chip is hard to see in my crappy light, and the red and brown spots on the 25 are quite similar. The 100 and the 25cent are my favorites.
Awesome chips. |
Thanks squiggly! Glad they got there safe!
And I must say, I knew going in that I wouldn't get the spots perfect, but I'm pleasantly surprised that there are relatively few changes I would make overall.
#1 - I'd change the spots on the T25, as you mentioned. Not necessarily because they are to close together (which I was surprised at how similar the Red and Chocolate look), but because I wish I would have done a lighter spot. If I were able to redo them, I'd do grey and green spots on the DG Green chip (maybe grey and chocolate, because the chocolate looks good there).
#2 - I'd consider changing the #1, although I do kind of like the DGYellow spot. It was meant to be a subtle 3rd spot. Plenty of things I'd consider here for alternative options, but overall I still like the chip.
#3 - I would change the T5000, but I knew that going in. When I submitted the order I couldn't figure out a combo I liked on that chip, so I only ordered 25. But, I am pretty sure now that I would get just a Grey with 412 hot pink spots, instead of hot pink and chocolate.
But, I love most of the decisions and am thrilled with the set. Thanks for the compliments
