Grandfather Mt. Inspired Rounders!!

Last summer I visited Grandfather MT in the Blue Ridge Mountain range of North Carolina. Well in this little wilderness area was a Wild Life Zoo. There was a very inspiring Bear at this Zoo. I forget his name but for like a $1 you could buy food and feed this bear. He even did a cool little trick for you. Little did he know he would land on a Rounders Type Replica chip.

The labels are from HogWild. The Artwork for the label was done by Kmalsom. This is the sample run.

Re: Grandfather Mt. Inspired Rounders!!

Ok, so these are the first Labels I have ordered from Hogwild. I need some help. I labeled about 5 Roman Molds and have been just shuffling them as I browse the web. After about 15 minutes I notice that the Ink on the labels is smearing?? WTF . Can someone who has similar labels chime in here. Is there something I can do to prevent the smearing. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Ehm, yes I did.
Check my faux labels thread. my labes were actually pale, tranfered their color and had an overall yellow touch.

Re: Grandfather Mt. Inspired Rounders!!

I think a big part of this ink smearing issue is that the Roman mold does not have a recessed area....so the labels are going to rub against each other. IMO, the chip has to have a nice recess (like Nexgens) to accommodate a label. Just my 2 cents.

BTW, very cool idea with the label. I like it!!!

Re: Grandfather Mt. Inspired Rounders!!

Shoot! This is not going to work. Damn it! Here are some pics after about 10-15 minutes of shuffling the chips. No harsh treatment or rubbing just shuffling the chips. Trouble is these labels would not work with any other chip other than ASM Romans. Isn't there a spary or coating I could apply? HELP!!

Re: Grandfather Mt. Inspired Rounders!!

You could try an acrylic spray. I know some people have used this after printing paper labels. That might work, but it might make the labels "thicker" than they already are.

Re: Grandfather Mt. Inspired Rounders!!

The only thing I could think of would be that the Bear was printed too heavy. Send me a email and I will reprint with a lighter amount of ink. When you get to labels face to face with heavy coats if ink and not dry all the way, this could happen.

Re: Grandfather Mt. Inspired Rounders!!

If I could just mention here...those ASM's are sweet...makes me wish I would have spent my last purchase ASM's instead of ceramics.
