I wanted a bright colored set that strayed from the normal colors...the $500 still happened to be purple, but i just liked the white-purple-pink progression. Figured when the tourney got late, the big chips would be easier to see if they had a bit of contrast and the purple seemed to fit in with the colors...the $5000 is just a bonus, probably only used for rebuys.
