Chips: 1,142 | | | Duy's Palace BCC Quantity and Color Selection: $1: Canary Yellow W/ Red and Black $5: Blood Red W/ Arc Yellow and White $25: Light Pink W/ Laker Purple and Lavender $100: Black W/ Off-White and Purple Mold: I chose the heavy version for my set, which is very noticeable compared to my ASMs when held up in a stack. I seriously do not understand why people reject the flame mold. I think it is simple and clean. The recessed area alone makes it IMO the best custom mold available to the home market. I must add that the recess area, not only protects your inlay, but eliminates spinners too. I have absolutely no spinners. Another important note is that the diameter of the chip is exactly the same as a true casino Paulson which makes them slightly less than ASM (maybe 1 mm) 9/10 Inlay: BCC has improved drastically since its early days. That said, they still are not a perfect circle in many cases. Whether this effects the overall image of your chips really depends on how you design the inlay. When I first designed my inlay, I took this in precaution right away. The inlay quality is definitely Casino Quality. You can not peel or remove the inlay in anyway without damaging the entire chip. Tips – Choose the giant inlay. It’s big, allows room for lots of graphic and, most importantly, it visually eliminates the misshapen inlay problems. How?. The border of the misshapen inlay is close to the edge and therefore the eye will not capture this imperfection. In addition, if the color of the inlay matches (or close) to the clay base, it will camauflag the misshapen form. 8.5 / 10 Printing: The printing is sharp, nonetheless, but the outcome was different from the proofs I received. The results on the $1 and $25 were absolutely phenomenal! Unfortunately, I can not say the same for the $5 and $100. The $5 design was the longest and therefore most anticipated in this set. The shading and gradients nearly blended straight into the base color making half the figure and background column very difficult to see unless held up within 1 foot. It’s still looks cool, depending on how one views it, but could have been much better. The edgespots, alignments, texture, and writing were very sharp. It was a shame because it was perfect in all areas except one. On the $100, the figure was very sharp like the $1 and $25. The gradients and columns in the background, however, did not turn out very visible. That said, the $100 still looks the nicest when viewed in stacks. Tips – whether this is possible or not do give it a try. Have BCC send you a hard copy proof so you can judge their printing resolution. The proofs that I received and printed online were pretty far off for the $5 and $100. 7 / 10 Service Dave and Mike are great guys. That said, they are not as easily reachable like the folks at ASM. For some, this may pass-off as an un-welcoming gesture. The truth is, THEY GET THE JOB DONE and are very helpful when reached. I got my chips much earlier than expected. 7.5 / 10 Overall thoughts I hate to turn this into an ASM vs BCC thread but I have no choice since they are the only 2 clay companies out there (which makes one another the perfect measuring tool). Honestly, with a few minor tweaks in my current $5 and $100 inlay, I can not see myself turning back to ASM until the FDL is released. PEOPLE! this ain’t no false advertisement, BCC is the REAL DEAL and is as close as it gets to a Casino Paulson. I definitely recommend them to anyone.

Chips: 516 | | | Re: Duy's Palace BCC NICE chips! I really cannot wait to see my proofs, much less my actual chips when they are made! With your wording right around the outside of the recessed area, how noticeable does this make the of centered inlays? |
