My PI clays with custom stickers - Updated Feb 28th

My new tourney chips are finally here. Compression molded Chinese blanks from Palm Imports, and labels with my own photos and design, finalized and printed by Lynbark Designs.

Final mock-up (not a scan of my labels!):

Breakdown (6-8 players, 5k or 10k starting stacks):
100 x 25
150 x 100
100 x 500
35 x 1000
10 x 5000
(I did order a couple extras, and received the exact amount.)

I do think that these chips offer great value for money. The finish is far from perfect, and the recessed area seems quite plastic with round marks from manufacturing, but the labels will fix the latter. But there are several great things too; they grip better than any clay samples I have (Paulson TH&C Starbursts and Private cardrooms, various molds of ASM in a stack, and Blue Chips). And the sound; it's closest to the TH&C thud, I'd say the new Paulson home mold in PC's is more different than these.

A couple of shots of the blank chips. Straight from the box, they do seem to need some oiling.

Update Feb. 27th. Ok, got the labels. Here's a few more photos:
These are 1" labels, and look good to me in the approximately 1.1 inch recess, but a case could be made for a more fitting larger size too. I cheated with pictures, only the top ones are labeled now. I'll have to ask my poker buddies to help before the next game. I don't know yet, if I should align the labels in every chip or not...

I just can't stop...

Feb 28th. Have you noticed already that I enjoy taking pictures of my chips?
Just wait 'till next week as I receive some 200 chips from a M2M purchase.

Here are my 10k starting stacks, up to 6 players I can use just 3 denoms, as is in the background, with 7-8 (the max at my table) I'll use a few 1000's too from the get-go.

And here's a big pot:

I've been shuffling a small stack of these while sitting by my computer, and there are a couple nicks already mainly in edge spots. Nothing major, and I actually like a worn look in clays, but these don't seem to be that hard. Might be an issue for some. Get samples! :)

I like the $5 chip...are they doing blanks? I wasn't sure if they ever gave a final answer.

You mean solid chips without edge spots? Yes, they should be coming for sale in a few weeks.

Not really. This thread is the best source of information about these right now: http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/palmim...ir-solids.html

Re: My PI clays with custom stickers - Updated Feb 27th

Nice job, they look good. I thinking more and more i better come up with a label theme quick. those solids are going to be too good of a deal not to make at least one 500 chip set.....even if they are not my ultimate custom chip..

Thanks for the pics again, and good luck winning with your new chips
