Re: Custom Ceramic Gallery (NO replies please!)

My custom ceramics that I designed for myself, which Guma printed up for me and did a superb job. I believe my pics are small enough (size wise), but if not, I can do the thumbnail thing (PM if it's a problem).

Re: Custom Ceramic Gallery (NO replies please!)

Designer: Brian "Wafflestomper" Zollinhoffer
Manufacturer: BR Pro Poker
Recieved: June 2008

The denominations are in "credits," a generic science fiction term for money, so I can use the chips for both tournaments and cash games, with one credit equaling one U.S. cent in most cash games.

Breakdown:
120 x 25 credits (pink)
200 x 100 credits (blue)
160 x 500 credits (yellow)
100 x 2000 credits (black)
60 x 10,000 credits (white)
160 x NCV (green)

Re: Custom Ceramic Gallery (NO replies please!)

Designer: Me (and that's why there are quite a few design flaws)

Manufacturer: Palm Imports (I took advantage of Joe's (from Palm Imports) 25 cent custom ceramic chip offer. They were printed on chips that had already had edge spots on them so they wouldn't match, but come on custom chips for 25 cents.)

Recieved: May 2008

You can see the non-matching edge spots, some denoms have more similar ones others not so much.

These match great (my 1000 chip)

These not as much (my 100 chip)

Enough teasing here's the good stuff:

Re: Custom Ceramic Gallery (NO replies please!)

Set stats:
Total chips - 800
Manufacturer - Sunfly
Dealer - Palm Imports
Finish - Smooth
Artwork - Johnny5 based on my ideas

Chips in drawer

Stacks

Faces

I was slightly disappointed with the way the chips turned out. If I had had the opportunity to get prototype chips first, I would have had Johnny5 make tweaks to get a better result. As it is, the chips are still nice, just not exactly what I had hoped for.

Original artwork

Part of the problem is due to the fact that the detailed knot work appears to run together with the background color when sized down. All the knots are white, but the pattern appears light blue on the blue chip and almost yellow on the red chip. A scan of the chips shows that they are actually closer to the original artwork than either the camera, or the naked eye can discern.
