Spicy Thai Noodle Place Poker/Promo Chips

Taipan comissioned my services to create a design to act as both a poker chips in his regular game but to also promote his wife's restaurant Spicy Thai Noodle Place on the island of Saipan.

The design itself was based on the flag of Siam (Thailand) between 1817-1855:

The bottom, right designs is the promo design and futures on the back of each chip.

Nice work. Chips look good, but San Antonio??

I can see a problem in practical game use if all the poker chips are going to have that red background.
It will be difficult to quickly separate a large pot without looking at every single chip, which will be a ROYAL pain for the winner.
Try this: throw them all in one big pot, and see how long it takes to separate into each denom stack.
I don't even think the different colored edge spots will decrease the time to separate them.

I'm liable to ask to play with -- forgive me -- dice chips instead of all those red chips.

If the chips will be given away as marketing reminders, then they're fine.

That is a concern we are trying to address, too much red.

I think they're nice; I've always respected (for lack of a better word) custom ceramics. I think it'd be a little hard to see the colors from, say, across the table.

The text around the outside didn't turn out as well as I liked either.

I think that should be the least of your concerns. The text looks great! That's actually my favorite part. They should've used the elephants you used.
