Here's some pix of my ASM order that came in today. Or I should say, partial order.
I received only 460 out of 700, missing a complete denomination. I have an email into PCOL to ask about this, as I believed my complete order was being shipped.
A few comments on them-
On the negative side, the colors in the inlays did not match up to the clay color very well. I didn't expect perfection, but I expected better. I am not blaming ASM on this- I should have done actual matching of printed inserts, to physical sample chips, instead of relying on the ASM artist to get them to match. The imperial blue is a pretty good match. The other two, not so much..
Another negative is the width discrepancies. Some of the chips are fatter than others. You can see in one of the pix the difference in the 4 stacks, all 20 high. I would have thought there would be more consistency. They claim these are casino quality, but I can't imagine a casino accepting chips that have a full chip difference in some stacks of 20!
ok, enough griping. I am actually pretty happy with these overall. I like how the color combinations look in real life. I have not found any spinners! These babies stack nice and tight- I love how I can stack 240 high and not have it topple over!!
Let's start right off with that pic! 240 blues, 80 red, 20 yellow
Here's my sad attempt at a fancy pattern
Here's my full... errrr, 'partial' full set, in stacks o' 20.
And now for some closeups-
A "thousand dollar pot"
And finally, a slightly out of focus comparison of some stacks. Yes, they really all do have 20 chips in them!
Well, there it is.. I will update with the 25c chips whenever they arrive.
I would like to thank BMWguy525 for helping me with the artwork on these. They are exactly what I envisioned as far as the design goes.
