Re: New WSOP replica chips! (Yes another set, BUT LOOK...)

I really didnt want to even post in this thread, but I guess I will.

When I first saw the epokerdeals group buy I said to myself, "thats not very nice because there is already one going". But, they are just wsop replicas. Everyone has made their own version, and everyone continues to make them with minor changes. If five different retailers decide they want to make WSOP replicas at the same time, there is nothing wrong with that. In the end, the customer will choose which ones they like better. I personally think that the replicas offered by Matt are 1000x better than the other ones offered by epokerdeals. The artwork is much, much closer to the actual chips. Matt, you make yourself look very bad with posts like that. Any time a retailer posts and trashes a competitor it makes them look really bad. Especially when both parties are ChipTalk sponsors. Just take comfort in the fact that you offer a superior product. Im not taking anything away from epokerdeals, they too offer a great product, but Matt has the artwork for the WSOP chips perfect. So I guess what Im trying to say is stop arguing, dont trash each other (or anyone for that matter!), and just go about your business.

I would be worried about those new ones though, those things are sweet!

Re: New WSOP replica chips! (Yes another set, BUT LOOK...)

Lets be honest here, you're both offering copies of WSOP chips, so neither really has any claim of exclusivity over them. Each are essentially the same design with slightly different wording.

And I don't think for a second that J5 would have needed to steal your mockups, he could probably do these in his sleep. I do recall seeing mockups on epokerdeals' website well before your forum started up.

I do agree though that there should be no badmouthing of sponsors within a different sponsor's forum. If someone has a problem, they should address it privately and then in the sponsor's forum directly, not take it to a competitor's forum. If someone does see a post like this, they should report it using the little triangle symbol with the ! in it by the scales in the upper right corner of the post. That way an admin can take a look and act on it if its inappropriate.

I'm note here to comment on this little spat, but I have been here since day one and never knew about the triangle with a ! to report posts!! Genius!!

If it isn't ok for me to say anything then maybe it isn't ok for people to say anything about my post either, give me negative reps saying "SHUT UP!!!!" and call me a "loser!!!"?

Dude, you accused someone of stealing your artwork for the second time...

And the best part is you accused J5 who can run circles around you with his ability. Stop crying about people replicating your replica... Dont you see how lame that is?

If that is the case I stand corrected regarding the first couple lines of my post.

And I never knew about that triangle button either, lol.

Wow, that's funny that so many didn't know about that little yield sign icon. What did you guys think it was for?

Re: New WSOP replica chips! (Yes another set, BUT LOOK...)

In the heat of my emotional eruption I didn't even realize Johnny5 had designed those *duh*. That alone makes my suspicion ridiculous. I know how incredibly talented he is and I'm sure he could draw anything ten times better than me with his eyes closed!

Apologies again!

Matt

Good of you to aplogize but if you looked at the chips at all you could see that they are much different. RIU (which is probably illegal) and WPS for instance.
