Matt | WOW!!! Are you serious?

We have been offering customized replica chips since around April of this year, well before you announced your business start up or your GB. Several Chiptalkers were buying sample sets, etc, and in July (I can find the post and get the exact date if you like) I said that if someone wanted to organize a GB for these, we would be happy to do it. And a user here started a thread about it. In order to make the ordering process easier and more accurate, we offered to have the ordering done right on our website. This, apparantly was in violation of CT GB rules, and some people complained (of course you) and we had to buy a sponsored forum to continue the GB, which we did.
I did not even know you or your group buy existed before you started to post in my forum. If you think we "copied" your GB or somehow you gave us the idea, you are mistaken. If anything, we had been advertising personalized Poker Series chips on CT for many months prior, and you got the idea from us. If you think we are searching chiptalk to see what a very small operation in Sweden, who dropships from China is doing, well, you can think that if you want. Just as an aside, we are offering lined up ceramic edge spots as well . Personally, I think ceramics edges should be independent of the face, but if people want it and want to pay extra for it, we can certainly do it. Pics to follow in our forum.
Matt, you just need to calm down and look at this - you are basing a business on a replica chip! You should concentrate on getting some unique designs and going from there - there is no way you could be mad about ABC or anyone else doing a WSOP replica. This is why our chips are "based on" poker series chips, not exact copies.
I seriously hope you do well in the Euopean Market as I think there is a definite void there.

In what way am I badmouthing you? By saying that you started a WSOP replica group buy shortly after mine and that it was bad for me? I'm sure you can see how things looked from my point of view, as if you went -"Oh, look... people are interested in a WSOP group buy. We should hurry up and get as large part of the business as possible." Seriously, you started it like one week after mine. A coincidence perhaps. I've never seen the thread you are talking about, only the one Alfunfinder started shortly after mine. I know that you have been offering customizable WSOP replicas for some time. If you had just started offering them I wouldn't have started my WSOP replica group buy in the first place. But since they had been around for so long, were not real "replicas" and not the 2006 versions I thought it was the perfect thing to get going. Especially since I would be the first and only one at the time to offer them.
I'm sorry you had to buy a rented forum like everyone else. That's all I can say about that. Not only did your WSOP group-buy pose a threat to my company launch but you were going to post it for free while I have to pay. I'm sure you would have been thrilled in my position. Yes, I did contact Greg asking about the GB rules because I didn't want to pay if I didn't have to.
I only posted in your forum because of Alfunfinder's totally out-of-the-blue and unfair attack against me. I had contacted him privately via pm a while back and was nothing but pollite and correct. He replied to my pm in the same form. Then all of the sudden he starts badmouthing me in your forum. At that point, you starting your WSOP group buy shortly after mine and this aggressiveness from his side, plus you implying that there might be reasons people should be careful ordering from me, really started to look like a serious attempt to get as many of my customers as possible.
I also offer aligned edgespots for an additional cost of $0.25 per chip. I got an email from the factory giving me a ok on this yesterday.
I was just contacted by a member saying that someone was going to offer WSOP replicas. When I saw the attached pictured I was shocked because they looked like they were made using my mockup pictures with changed text and logo. That was the impression I was under when I posted above. I should have waited, read through the thread a few times, thought about it and calmed down. I admit that. It's a bit funny thought that you would be the first one to take the "police role" and reply to my post.

Chips: 1,547 | | | Re: New WSOP replica chips! (Yes another set, BUT LOOK...) I apologize for my emotional outburst in my first post. I didn't fully understand what was going on when I posted and should have waited. My group-buy is very important to me, it's my way to get something going and without it I'm back to square one which I can't afford after all these months. I thought this was a group-buy thread which it isn't, atleast not yet.

Matt | Even if it is a groupbuy who have no right to say anything about it.

I personally would not have started a Bellagio replica group buy knowing Palm Imports allready had one going on. I even waited with my WSOP replica group buy several weeks until I saw PI had posted a spread sheet of the order size because I didn't want to steal customers from them. That would have felt wrong but that's just me I guess. If it isn't ok for me to say anything then maybe it isn't ok for people to say anything about my post either, give me negative reps saying "SHUT UP!!!!" and call me a "loser!!!"?
