Why didn't you start off by sending a PM to Gene. You could have easily talked this out in private. I am sure he would have agreed to wait some weeks after your GB is finished.

But this went to a "point of no return" discussion IMO.

I am going to be plain honest with you. Coming here and posting about a "steal" was a bad decision and made this thread go downhill.

You really should consider to talk with Gene. You both should try to clear this up, but this thread is the worst place for it.

Matt, this is completely and utterly false. Unless you can prove otherwise, you shouldn't make such accusations in an open forum.

Thank you JM. As far as I know I didn't send any rep. If clicking the yield button is to leave rep, then I guess we need to be informed of that.

I have never stated that he is selling WSOP replicas for a certain price and I don't appreciate being reported for it.

This is going absolutely nowhere but downhill. Matt won't be satisfied unless Gene stops this GB, and the people of ChipTalk already expressed so much interest that this would be impossible.

This is NOT a patented technology that we are talking about. How many different styles of replica sports jerseys do you see? Also, the timing in this case should be completely irrelevant. Right now is not only the BEST time, but the ONLY time to start a WSOP REPLICA Group Buy. Why? Well, because we all just got done watching the WSOP!

In my opinion (take it for what it's worth), this thread should be deleted. Take J5's original post and put in a locked post on ABC's forum. Then Gene can add to it when he comes up with the GB details and start an order thread in his own forum. Matt can continue to offer his CUSTOM WSOP replicas in his own forum and people that might read this thread in the future will not be turned away from Mr. Chip's because of Matt's postings in this thread.

I am not telling the Mods how to do their job, I am just offering my $.02. Take it for what it's worth.

Reporting bad posts just sends an email, its totally separate from the rep system. Since any report may or may not be justified, it wouldn't be right to automatically hit someone with a negative for having their post reported. Its just a way to let the admins know there may be a problem with a post.

Fortunately, my wallet says that we are taking a well deserved break this month from chip purchases so I won't be purchasing any wsop replicas from any of the vendors - but I will say this:

Matt - you have really lost my respect with your posts in this and other threads. You can do business as you see fit but your attitude and demeanor are very different than what I am accustomed to.

On a side note, I never really understood how the "exclusive" Sun-fly distributor in Europe was allowed ship to America and effectively compete with Palm Imports, the American "exclusive" Sun-fly distributor. It is more of an observation that does not require an explanation - it just didn't seem right to me.

Lastly Matt, to insinuate that J5 had somehow copied your idea or artwork is insulting to me personally (and probably to others) as he is one the most highly respected and valuable contributors to our community.

Just my .02 (.0157 Euros)
