Matt | WOW, get a clue man... You are making yourself look more and more like a child the more you keep this going.

Matt | Hey Matt,
Here is how they would feel, this post is from 5/25 of this year (right around when we first offered the customizable WSOP chips on our site) http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/custom...ht=epokerdeals
The buyer has a choice, they can choose anything they want! I don't understand why you think your group buy is being "busted." You keep saying that we "busted" your GB, and now ABC is doing it. We offered these back in May! If a competitor wants to offer a similiar product, that's their business I suppose. |

Why don't you link to Bostonpokerchips' posts while you're at it. When did I say that I was the first one in the world to offer WSOP replicas and that I have the sole right to offer them? There's a difference between calling someone a criminal and saying something is wrong from a moral stand point. I just thought that people respected other people's business here at ChipTalk. I even waited with my WSOP group buy not to interfere with Palm Imports' group buy for ceramic chips and they had a completely different design (Bellagio). That's how incredibly naive I was. Now I know that there is no point being nice to people. I thought this was a friendly place but talk about sharks swimming in these waters. I think people would have reacted differently if I was the one offering a group buy for a practically identical design shortly after someone else had started his. Would you have started a group buy for ceramic WSOP replicas during the time Bostonpokerchips were offering them? I don't think so. Waiting until he was done selling them and then offer yours would have been the nice thing to do. You creating your WSOP replicas and selling them never hurt Bostonpokerchips' group buy. I didn't hurt anyone's group-buy when I started mine. I would never have started my WSOP group buy if there was one going on allready.

But your statement above is so terribly wrong.
This is ALL about being nice. You can only get customers if you treat them like that. I don't see sharks here. This is open market. If Gene gets asked by several people to do these, you should accept that. Go on with your GB, and offer something others don't have. Like your EPT Series Chip. Or something new.
But coming here bragging about Gene and others doing what their customers want is nowhere near what I expected from you.

I'm busting my ass trying to bring the best possible WSOP replicas to the market for the lowest prices available. I value my customers more than anything and always do my best to satisfy their requirements. It's just cruel to suggest that people wouldn't want to do business with me just because I'm upset that my role as a Sun-Fly retailer and thereby my business is in jeopardy because of the additional WSOP replica group buys. I was the only one offering a WSOP replica group-buy when I first posted. I thought people would respect my business like they do others. Surely being upset and speaking my mind isn't that bad a crime?

Chips: 807 | | | Re: New WSOP replica chips! (Yes another set, BUT LOOK...) It doesnt really seem to me that there is already a WSOP group buy going on. Both WSOP chips currently offered are from retailers. I see two retailers selling WSOP replicas in their store and their ChipTalk forum's. I for one am glad that Gene has decided to sell these. I would like to buy a few in the future, and Genes are the best choice for me for many reasons. With epokerdeals, the artwork seems too unfinished for me to buy them. With Matt, the artwork is fine but he is located in Europe so shipping charges will be high. With Gene, the artwork is perfect, the edges are aligned (something Ive always wanted), and he is located in the USA. While all three are offering similar chips, all three have their advantages that no one else has. For people in Europe, it would be easier for them to buy from Matt. His artwork is perfect and hes now offering aligned edges. For people in the US who wish to customize their WSOP chips, epokerdeals will offer great customization and you'll have your chips very quickly. For those in the US who want Matts perfect artwork with aligned edges with fast shipping, they can choose Gene at ABC. This argument really has to stop. Matt, if you have problems with other retailera or the way they do business, then make a thread in your paid forum. This thread is about the new chips that Johnny5 made and its a thread for everyone else to drool over them. I dont see the word "Argument" or "Debate" in the thread title. |

Thank you Snowstorm, I really appreciate it. However, I think you might be wrong when you say they do this just to be nice to people. In a pm Gene said he decided to go forward with this because of my first post in this thread. Also, he gave me two negative rep points the second after I mentioned ABC in my forum allthough I wasn't saying anything wrong. This shows you the aggressiveness from their side.

Matt | I'm not saying other people, I'm talking only about myself. I highly doubt that Gene would have even considered doing these if he hadn't had people asking him to do them. If he got that many emails requesting that he sell them, then maybe there is a reason people want this set instead of yours. Instead of bitching about it, try to figure out what it is that people want on this set instead of yours and see if that's a change that can/should be implemented... Business is all about pleasing the customer, and it may be as simple as what Nugzy said, just the shipping from europe.
Sorry about the rant and the thread jack,
