My Custom Desert Sands set

When the DS chips first came out I fell in love with the look, and new they were the chips for me. Only thing that was missing was lower denoms that I needed for a local home game with a low $20 buy in. So....., I approached the great people at Nevada Jacks and asked them to make me a custom set. What we did was change the $500 chip into a .05 cent chip, and the $1000 chip into a .10 cent chip. As you can see they did a great job. Thank you NVJacks, I love my personalized DS set!!! (Sorry for the large scans, I'm a newbie here.)

Very nice set, I personally would cut out the 10 cent and the 50 cent chips and just stock up on the 5 cent and 25 cent chips. As those are only twice the amount of the next smaller denom but thats me and this is your set not mine.

Holy smokes - great idea and great execution. I wish I knew about this before as I could really use some 0.10 chips. I have 900 Desert Sands (the 'old' ones before they made them thicker & more likely to have spinners) and there are a few NL and limit games with antes/brings where we would like to have a 0.10 chip as the small blind in the set.

Any chance that you have some extras of these? Or can get more from NJ?

Thanks for the responses. Nice to see I am not the only one who likes this idea.

Q10 = No sir, no extras. I had 250 (.05) chips made along with 250 (.10) chips made. In a ten man game this works out perfectly for us.

Toblat: I paid the customization price for the .05/.10 chips, which at the time was $1 each. Then the normal price for the rest of the Desert Sands chips I needed.
