Chips: 1,142 | | | Asm Gb - Td Poker Lounge Chips OK! They finally arrived!!!! Color & Quantity: >> (200) 3D14 White w/ Yellow & Chocolate >> (300) 3D14 Lavender w/ Arc Yellow & Pink >> (500) 414-2 Black w/ DG Green & Imperial Blue >> (300) 414-2 Green w/ DG Peach & DG Pink >> (200) 614 Mandarin Red w/ DG Pink 3 STACKS OF HIGH SOCIETY!!! YEAH BABY!!! Mold: >> Wow! Is all I can say. The H-mold is something that looks 10x better in person than it does on picture. The texture is very rough and is somewhat opposite from what you would expect from a Paulson. The design is classy and somewhat helps camaflaug any off-centering of the inlay. >> Inlay: >> ASM inlay’s are, in my opinion, suited for designs that are simple. If you have a simple design like mine, they will look beautiful and somewhat “old style” days. There were many off-prints but because the design is simple with nothing that highlights this imperfection, it was very unnoticeable unless it was 4” away from your eyes. ASM says that they prefer images with 300 DPI, but I recommend you send in something that is 600 DPI. These inlays were sent in at 600 DPI and showed GREAT difference from my last set, which were 300DPI (I have another set with the same inlays on solid chips that have not been posted yet). >> Edge Spots: >> This is IMHO where ASM reign supreme over all other clay manufactures. The spots were aligned perfectly with the inlay on both side and are very clean looking. The photos do not bring justice to the quality of craftsmanship to these chips. This is really something one has to experience in person. >> Quality Control: >> This is my 3rd purchase from ASM and I must say two things. I am now a strong believer that the Roman Mold has a much higher ratio of imperfection. My previous 2 orders were both Romans and they have suffered from quite a high percentage of bad chips. From reading about other member’s Roman purchases, it seems as though this is not an un-usual experience. All that being said the H-Mold seems to be of very high quality. There were only 3 chips out of 1500 that had a very noticeable off-centering of the inlay (yet still acceptable). I ended up getting approximately 40 extra chips. I was hoping to receive a little more but considering this order had such a low percentage of bad chips, there is no way I could complain. >> Overall Thoughts: >> I don’t know what to say. These chips look beautiful and I cant stop looking at them. From the day of my order up to the day these chips arrived, my experience with PC is top notch and the chips turned out greater than expected. I will definitely order more from them in the future. It is still quite early, and I hope that these chips will remain top notch for years to come. >> |

A bit surprised you only received 40 extras. I guess it's just luck of the draw.
I agree on the H mold being great. It does feel a bit rought out of the box, but after shuffling some for a while they actually feel a bit smoother. In my 1000 chips I didn't find any that had defects.
Enjoy the chips! |

Any comments on your color selection? Any that you might do differently? I don't know why I'm asking -- I have already finalized my order and can't change anything anyway.

There is something really elegant with an ASM chip.
OK, I'm now getting chip envy too. And I have at least another two months to wait for mine to arrive
