The birth of my chips :
Let me say first that I originally wanted this set to be made by the Blue Chip Company. I had ordered 2 samples of every color of the "Blue Chip Starbursts" from Casinocom (the supposed replacement chips to the "Paulson Starbursts") sometime in June/July of 2005, but I had been waiting 3+ months for those samples, and I finally gave up that idea and cancelled my samples order.
While still waiting for the Blue Chip Starbursts I started looking at other options. ASM wouldn't do a custom stamp. Paulson, forget it. The last stop was TR King. I
KNEW TR King could stamp their chips, but I didn't want blank chips, or my initials or their stock denom dies, so I shot an email over to Mr. O'Neill, and asked if they had any other house dies besides initials and denoms ... anything with a logo. Nope. So I asked Dennis if they could do a custom stamp (I HAD to ask because they didn't have it as an option on their site ... and good thing I did ... it
NEVER hurts to ask questions ... right?).
So then I pursued my set with TR King, and after several different stamp ideas (one of them being the "
King's Crown" group buy going on right now), I ended up going with my simple "
Golden Stardust" design ... I didn't want anything that related to me personally, like my name or something, so I combined the Golden Nugget and the Stardust and used that. I wanted this set strictly as a cash game set, so I didn't want any "standard" tourney colors either.

Samples arrived : 1/18/06 ... 6 weeks and 6 days.
Ordered full set of 540 chips : 1/23/06
Set arrived : 3/14/06 ... 8 weeks and 3 days.
