Blue Chip Desperado Club "Custom" Label Chips....whaddayathink?

Finally got the pictures taken. As I stated in an earlier thread, I volunteered myself as a guinea pig purchasing 500 Desperado Club Blue Chip Clay chips at the blow-out sale price of .50 apiece with free shipping (that was nice).

Anyway, without further ado...here are the pictures. Any comments are welcome.

I apologize for the amateur photography but my camera and I are both antiquated. The labels were printed and put together by none other than Jason from this forum. I thank him for his hard work.

Viva Chinaski!

The most important thing is - how do they look to you? I think they look great... you are killing me, by the way - I just had Jason print out 2000 ripped sheets for some nexgens and now these look so good I might have to get some... Man I am torn...

Re: Blue Chip Desperado Club "Custom" Label Chips....whaddayathink?

I'm very please with the outcome. I owe a lot to the words this man layed down on paper (got me through some trying times). I also was going to label some Nexgens but this offer sprouted up.

These chips are a smidge on the light side (not ridiculously so) but you have to figure the labels added a tenth of a gram or so per chip so you're really making out in the deal.

They're twice the price of nexgens (considering the free shipping on these). I feel they are worth the extra .25 per chip.

Anyone with specific questions please feel free to pm me or post here.

Very nice. I think that is a really good deal for $.50 per chip.

Many thanks for sharing the pictures and the account of your experience with these chips. It's very enlightening to everyone else considering this path.

Why did you have to use ripped sheet labels for Nexgens. The conventional 1" poly labels are a fraction of the price and they'll work fine on Nexgen chips.

The labels turned out very nice

It's been said that these chips are slippery. How would you compare their slickness to Paulsons or ASMs?

Re: Blue Chip Desperado Club "Custom" Label Chips....whaddayathink?

It's very strange, but the chips aren't terribly slippery yet they don't grip as well as ASM or Paulson. They're not as slick as Nexgens by any means, but Yeltzen says these actually get slicker as they get broken in.

I don't think anyone will have a problem stacking them 20 high on their poker table. I don't feel they are in any danger of spilling. The pictures above are in stacks of 20 and I moved them around quite freely with no unusual problems.

I'll have to see as these get table use if they in fact get slicker with age. They are certainly a harder composite than Paulson (not that that's good, just making a point).

Hope this helps as my next game isn't until next Friday (21st, Oct) when my "I like Nexgens better than Paulson/Bud Jones/HHR" crowd shows up. (JM - I hope to play in one of your home games some day to play with people that appreciate the real deal).
