Home Made European Plaques (never mind)

So I've been obsessed for a while with getting a set of European type plaques for tourny's and such. These are some plaques made out of acrylic that I made. They are incredibly time consuming to make but I think they came out well. There are some chips and some Kems in the picture to give a sense of scale. Sorry for the picture quality, these shots were taken with my camera phone.

Wondering what you all thought about them.

Thanks for any comments.

(never mind, gonna take better pictures)

Re: Home Made European Plaques

WOW!! How were they made? I am interested in getting a hold on some of them. Specially now that the plaques that I wanted to buy 1 per month will be discontinued by holdempokerchips.

I was thinking of buying a sample set of the egyptian chips 1 per month since I am on a budget.

Yeah the reason I went ahead and made my own was because the egyptians were sold out and the Matsui group buy seems dead...

I could sell these I suppose and then make some more for myself if you guys are really interested. Unfortunately the materials were pretty expensive and they took HOURS to make, so they might cost more then anyone would be willing to pay.

But I will say that they look and feel great and they came out better than I had hoped. THe size of the big one is based on the Bourgogne et Grasset web page and the smaller one is based on how many I could fit on one sheet of acrylic. They do get fingerprints easily and tiny scratches (this is just a problem with acrylic in general I think) They have a good weight to them, about 85grams for the big one and about 60 for the smaller.

I'm not sure, pretty new here, but I think I would get in trouble for saying how much I'd be willing to sell them for here and not on the member to member sales page, but PM me if you are interested.

I have

20 X $5000
12 X $25000

I'd sit down and make maybe six at a time and a good hour or two would pass... and that doesn't include the time spent watching t.v. pealing off the protective paper the acrylic was shipped with. I'm thinking including the help my girlfriend gave me about 16 man (woman, person?) hours.
