Ah, that makes sense.
I must have misinterpreted the answer I got, as I took it that there wasn't a way to make to even make a chip without some sort of embossed impression around the face.
I'm not even entirely convinced that I would
want chips like that, as I've never handled one. But from the pics I've seen they do look interesting.
I was watching Rounders again the other night and trying to see the chips used in the judges' game. I *think* they are circle/squares but I'm not entirely sure. The frat house game (after Worm gets released from prison) seem like they might be something similar, but I couldn't catch a decent close-up to pause on.
Anyway... it's too bad the Chesterfield chips aren't available, but it's really nice to know the whole story behind them.
