Here are my chips I got awhile back. PC.com / roman mold. We play tournament style - no chip value. This way everyone gets there own color. Just thought I'd throw them up here for in case someone was looking for color combinations/ideas.
500 total (although in these pics I was short yellow - they were backordered).
I played in a friend of friend's tourney one time - where every chip was 1 no matter what the color. It worked for them - it was what they always did.
There are so many other reasons I won't play there again - but the every chip = 1 took a little getting used to.

I don't play this way myself, but am amiliar with the concept: if all chip values are equal and everyone starts with thier own color, you can see how you are playing in relation to everyone else by which colors you are accumulating. This will hold less and less true as play progresses and increasing numbers of colors move from player to player, but that's the concept.

I don't get it either. If every chip has the same value, why not just get all of one color? Kind of defeats the purpose of getting multiple colors in the first place, IMO.

Useless information that has nothing to do with poker, imo. But if that's what they like, more power to them. Nice chips for sure.

Would you want 500 of the same color? How boring would that be! If you are going to spend many hundreds on custom chips you can do what you want with em. He just likes to have all the same value, but different colors because they look awesome . Plus if he got all the same color and decided against making everything with a value of 1, he'd be screwed.
