My plain circle square ASMs are here! (with pics)

It's just like Christmas! Hopefully I'll be able to get in a game before work tonight...

I got 96 green, 136 black, 96 purple, 56 yellow, and 16 orange plain circle square chips. And samples of the other colours and one with an inlay. I'll need to get a case for those at some point.

The only thing I'm not happy about is the raping by UPS - $68.35 CAD! If they had shipped via USPS or something else, it might not have been as bad. But they were nice enough to "upgrade" my shipping for free since it didn't cost them much more and would get here faster. Next time I order, I have to make sure they DON'T use UPS, no matter what.

Oh yeah, they also threw in two issues of Bluff magazine. Something to flip through later.

Scans of the available chip colours are here: http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3099

I assume all the chips laid out are the samples of all of the colors. Do you have a scanner or access to one so that you can post good scans of all of the ASM colors? I think the community would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Nice chips!

Yeah, the chips laid out before the stacks are the samples of the colours, plus the one with an inlay (I wanted to see how those looked/felt in person - quite nice). I don't think I have a dayglo orange though (assuming the other orange-ish ones are arc yellow and dayglo peach), unless it's really dark. In the samples, I got two orange chips, one seeming to be just slightly lighter than the other, but definitely not bright and not on the A-mold like the other dayglo chips.

I do have access to a scanner, just not at the moment. I'll see about getting them scanned sometime in the next few days.

The chips even smelled nice when I opened the boxes

DG Orange does not look like you would expect it to. Look at my ASM review. My yellow chip is Yellow/DG Orange.

Hope to see some good scans of all the colors.

Thanks!

Nice I love solid color chips. I am saving for my set. Until then I'll just look at all your guy's nice chips. Someday...

Looking closer at the two orange chips I have, one does lack the brass flakes, like the rest of the dayglo chips. And it's actually slightly darker than the orange, not what I expected

Which is lighter in colour, dayglo peach or arc yellow? I'm thinking it's arc yellow, but I'm not sure.

I don't remember when, but at some point I really started to like how solid colour chips looked. If I do get a custom set of ASMs in the future, I'd strongly consider chips without edge spots, since they do look so nice! (plus, that would eliminate the problem of choosing edge spot colours, heheh)

I think arc yellow is lighter than the DG Peach.
