Johnny5 or anyone willing for special project

I PMed J5 a few days ago about some designs for a very special project but i haven't heard back from him. But i need a design for 43mm, dealer button and plaque to be made by PGI. I need to get the ball rolling on this project ASAP so please email me at RCameron412[at]hotmail[dot]com if you're willing to help and for the details.

Way to publicly call out J5 for not emailing you back right away. Few days ago was thurs/fri....you ever think that maybe he was off for the weekend? I understand that you're in a rush, I always am too. But there was no need to include the "but he hasn't responded for a few days" part.

^^^^LOLZ

Thanks Tony, gave me a good laugh!

1) These types of threads are not completely uncommon here so what makes this one any different?
2) The thread title mentions J5 or 'anyone else' indicating he would very much prefer the artist to be J5 but due to the circumstances it may not be a viable option so he's extending the offer to others as well.
3) Computers and internet do function over weekends as well. Whether or not J5 visits CT outside business hours is another matter but still...

No-one's publicly calling anyone out here... I find the overall tone of your post somewhat accusatory. I know there's a lot of people on CT who are looking out for J5's image but there's no harm done with this thread imho. I just don't see the rationale for your outburst

I wasn't trying to come off as harsh. Yes, the internet is a 24/7/365 thing, I get that but that doesn't mean that everyone has to be on call every minute of every day. It *was* a weekend, so the fact that he didn't snap-reply didn't warrant a post about it. I can't speak for J5, I'm just generalizing a bit. If you call your Dr. (non 911 emergency) because you want to schedule something on Friday and he doesn't call you back til Monday does that mean that by Sunday you should be looking for another dr? I know it's a different case, but it's the same concept. Anyway, no need to start a 40 page back/forth about who's right/wrong. I'm just saying. IMO the post should have read something like...

Looking for artist for time-restricted project. ....please contact me to discuss.

After that if J5 replied, then great he got the job. If someone else did and J5 didn't, that's fine too.

The mentioning of him not PMing back *right away* is moot.

On a different note, OP did you try emailing instead of PMing?

Yes email is a better way to contact him. He always responded back to me in a timely manner.

Yeah I see your point Tony, just thought your original post was indeed a bit harsh. Sort of a case of the punishment not fitting the crime I guess. Don't think there's any need to make 40 pages of it either

I want to stick up for J5.
I'm sure you realized he may be busy.
