The Fish & Donkey Irish Pub and Poker

I'm thinking about labeling some old paulson casino chips.

I have a pretty good idea of what I'm after but I would need a graphic artist to put it together for me. I'm willing to pay a little but if the cost were too high I'd have ditch it. Or maybe split the costs with anyone else that thinks this is a cool idea.

The graphic should look like a sign for an Irish pub. There would with a family crest-style shield in the middle with the denomination on it. 'Ribbons' across the top and botttom would have the tittle: "The Fish & Donkey", "Irish Pub and Poker". On one side would be a fish with tail flipping, and on the other would be a rearing, very 'Shrek-like' donkey.

Could this work and how much time are we talking? Anyone else think this is a cool idea?

I found a good image of a Donkey on shutterstock.com. Does anyone here have a subscription? I can pay a few bucks for the graphic.

costs vary per designer, but my .02 is that it is ABSOLUTELY WITHOUT A DOUBT worth it to fork over the cash and hire one of the several very qualified designers who frequent chiptalk. honestly, with the hundreds you're going to invest in the chips and labels and the hopefully long term enjoyment of the set, the cost of the design is not substantial. i wouldn't want to give you a dollar figure just because designers vary their rates and it's not mine to publish their costs, but i think you'd be doing yourself a disservice to sacrifice quality in the design.

Fish *and* donkey -- isn't that redundant?

Some people need 2 terms to describe their ineptitude:>
I played with a bunch of them last night.

Maybe I should start a thread to find out the difference between a fish and a donkey?

Or you could have the front half of a donkey with the rear half of a fish...a "mer-donkey"...
