Question Looking to Design a Complete Custom Chip Set

Hi,

I am interested in working with a designer/manufacturer to design a complete chip set...custom chips, custom dealer chip, case and even cards (plastic) if available.. From start to finish

I do not know what your procedure is nor the protocol.. but I will list a couple of facts

The set would consist of 600-1000 Chips

Im not sure if it will be clay or ceramic..due to the fact I have never played with ceramic - but I do prefer clay

I would like a casino Look-a-like chip - Hopefully 39mm diam. weighing about +10g

I prefer the tri-color or even four colors but it doesnt have to have the engravings on the face..

I was wondering if you can design a chip set with various color schemes, Picture in the middle with denominations and text..

I know what I want but need to get assistance putting it all together..

Please contact me, I look forward to hearing from you..

Hey mate, at the top of the page there is 'Site Tools' and if you click on 'Poker Chip Factory' it brings up an application where you can play with chip colours and edge spot types.

This will give you many hours of enjoyment looking at colour combinations etc that you like.

Use the "ASM" tabs for colours and spot choices as they are the only company left who produce a clay chip for the home gamer

Good luck

Re: Looking to Design a Complete Custom Chip Set

Toli,

Welcome to chiptalk!

The Forum Jump at top of the page can also help. My experience on the process:

Designer: this is money well spent IMO. You can go Forum Jump/Custom Chip Design - Request for Hire and post a topic describing your needs. Or contact via PM designers directly. Johnny5, machinelf, and mizuchaud have helped many; I think there may be others as well.

Use chip factory to create designs and make screen shots and post your mockups for input and advice.

Forum Jump/MarketPlace/Pokerchipsonline offers - this is the ASM company, you can check threads here for discount offers. Go to there web site for pricing, etc. email them once you are getting to the point of colors, spots, etc. Not all info is on the web site. here are some spots for CTers for 2010 in post #61 of this thread:
http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/custom...ms-noob-7.html

Join chiptalk as a supporter for $25 (have to do a search to find the thread or I can post later). It's the right thing to do and you get a 10% discount on your ASM chips. Be sure to tell ASM you're a CTer.

Do a search for weighted and unweighted colors and figure out if you want unweighted colors as base colors in your ASM chips. I elected not.

Forum Jump/Custom Chip Gallery and read the ASM sets people have posted, learn about the various molds, etc. You'll be surprised at the things you'd never considered!

Order chips, wait a few months for their manufacture, and enjoy them the rest of your life

Re: Looking to Design a Complete Custom Chip Set

I agree with everything courage said apart from this :

Its not 'the right thing to do' it is totally optional and there are many Cters that arnt 'paid supporters'

BUT

If you do choose ASM as the company to make a custom set for you then the 10% discount is a fantastic reason to become a member (for the right reason)

Re: Looking to Design a Complete Custom Chip Set

Mango - well said! My intention was to crack a joke and provide info on the discount with ASM, not stir the subscriber pot. I agree completely with your clarification.

Re: Looking to Design a Complete Custom Chip Set

Courage - I was sure it wasnt meant the way I read it, I just wanted to ensure the new guy didnt get any bad 1st impressions

I had infact forgotten about the 10% ASM discount, i have been staring at my 44mm sample set wondering how I could afford a full set, so maybe I will be a member in the near future
