Hi
A friend and I are creating a MGM-like inlay.
Do you know the name of the font that is used for the denom on the original chip? In addition, is there a way to find the symbol of the lion?

Hi there,
I've very recently done such an Inlay as a MGM Replica. Those were done for Faux Clays using the 7/8" Inlays.
I used a font called "Impact", it's not the exact font but with some changes in the height and thickness it fits pretty good I think.
The lion-head used was given to me by the customer.
Looks like plain ol' Helvetica to me, and I am a type nerd. But you would need the Helvetica Neue typeface family to get the condensed/extended and bold/medium/black versions.
other typefaces to try:
Univers
Trade Gothic
News Gothic
Aksidenz Grotesk (sp?)
You can also try whatthefont.com to find it, I never submitted a curved piece of text though for the automated finder. Check it out.
If you have a pc with only the preloaded fonts... well then... arial?
As you can see here I removed the $1 in this image using
Photoshop...I was a quick job cause I was waiting to play online
poker. I can make it better ...I had to guess what was behind the $1
sign...
Nice
However, would it be possible to get a bigger picture for the lion?
I will try to get the Helvetica Neue font family and I will apply it for my denom.
Thanks
