Exclamation To those member's I'm currently helping out with designs - Part II

Just updating those member with the ongoing drama I've been having with my PC. I've just heard but from the shop and it is indeed the motherboard that has failed (I got it right, go the A+ certification) BUT due to its age (2.5 years) that particular type of motherboard is no longer on the market and to replace it means upgrading the CPU and RAM.

In saying that, the good news is the data is fine as the hard drive is okay and I backup on a regular basis (good old A+ again) so all designs I was working on or have worked on I still have a copy of (mostly in .psd format).

I've yet to investigate the possible costs involved upgrading etc but money wise I'm on a tight budget due to some personal issues I've been dealing with over the year or so and I need to talk to a few people regarding my options but until then my design services are unavaiable until further notice.

I'll still be hanging out in the forums as much as I can on my partner's work laptop as you can get rid of me that easy.

Blake

Good news is that your still hanging around. Sorry to hea rabout your PC, I may be in the same boat as my PC has been having some minor problems.

As for your current (forced) work stoppage I'm sory to hear it. I looked forward to your daily inlay designs and thought it was (is) commendable that you assisted others in here.

So good luck with your PC and hope something works out for you in the future.

Irish

They try and do my best where I can and I'm sure some way some how things will work themselves out. Couldn't even get my signature right. Just not my day.

Do you know any airline pilots?

Get one to bring you a new laptop from one of their other destinations.
I know several pilots that will do that sort of thing from China to the states.
Might work.

If I can scrape together a couple of bucks, I'll send it your way since you are helping with my design.
