Wedding Favor Chip Help

Little help please. We've got a Vegas wedding 5/5/07. I have been researching and looking at custom chips for months. Was about to use thechiplab.com and design it myself...I have the basics done I think. But it sounds and looks as if there are some talented artists and graphic designers here by the look of some mockups and threads. First are you guys doing this free of charge basically for the love of it and or the challenge? If so I will appreciate any and all assistance.

Some Details: Again date, 5/5/07, will only need 150-200 chips no denominations its just a reminder for our guests of the day(if there is a minimum of 300 with some manuf, thats fine) we only have 75-95 guests coming and we could give eash person two plus leftovers and random folks that couldnt come. I think I want ceramics with edge text (you know names, place, date, blah blah) Color I think we want orange chips can you do a navy blue edge? (We both went to Univ of Illinois at C-U) that and we just love our school colors! I have a picture in mind for the inlay of us...it's of us at a Red Sox game and I photoshop'd (using GIMP actually) the Mandalay Bay hotel in behind us (ceremony is at Mandalay)....looks 'ok' I guess...the original picture is roughly 2 MB (3072 x 2034) and I cropped it to 775 kb then shrank it to 116KB (799 x 678 )..then did the shoppin in of mandalay behind us...not sure if that was the right way to do it....still looks pretty good....ANYWAYS...that basically in the middle..not sure if both sides not sure what to put on the back...we are having the reception at the Four Seasons next to Mandalay but I couldnt really find any good pics online...though we are going over superbowl weekend (Feb 2-5) yes I know, to meet with vendors etc......I have a PDF I 'printed' of my work on thechiplab.com if you more of an idea on my ideas, PM me....

I am rambling no? she thinks you won't be able to see the picture or anyhting like that on the chip but I keep telling her it will be AWESOME in the end.....so if anyone wants to help me out a little bit
that it will be greatly appreciated...again a ceramic with edge details.....I have looked at palmimports and a few other places....if you have recommendations on manuf to use as well that's great if you can't lend your technical assistance!!! lastly if you all are going to go crazy our names are Gina and CJ....thx in advance.......

Re: Wedding Favor Chip Help

You could do something like this with the pic where the white circle is.

Re: Wedding Favor Chip Help

so i converted the sample i made at chiplab to a jpeg....and I think now that I see the denomination i think we should kill the $5 mark and just go plain....i kinda like the fading or gradient from the white or light orange to orange around the chip.....i'm guessing the manuf charge more for different images on the 'back' as well? the pic might not come out so good on the post but the general idea is conveyed no?

Depends on the manufacturer. Chipco charges I think. ABC doesn't, not sure about PalmImports, Mr. Chip, or Nevada Jacks.

It looks to me like you have a fairly neat idea going there.

Re: Wedding Favor Chip Help

This is pretty close to what you had. (Minus the photo of course)
