Chips: 3,643 | | | new ideas for my BC (formerly ASM) order I have 3 different ideas for my soon-to-be-placed BC chip order. I'm wondering if someone is interested in working something up for me. I plan on gettin a cash set (.05, .25, 1, & 5) and a tourney set (25, 100, 500, & 1,000). I would be delighted to compensate the person who comes up with the final design with a sample set of all 8 chips. Anyway, the ideas:
1) a) at the top of the inlay, following the curve, the word "HARP'S"
b) on the bottom, again following the curve, the words "HOUSE OF CARDS"
c) just under "HARP'S", a picture of a house of cards, with the faces showing
(from a low perspective, looking up at the house of cards)
d) under the house of cards, the denoms
2) a) at the top of the inlay, following the curve, the word "HARP'S"
b) just under that, the words "POKER ROOM" straight accross--this could be
amended for space considerations
c) on the bottom, again following the curve, the words "NO STRINGS
ATTACHED"
d) In the middle, a harp with all it's strings broken--not missing: broken (in
the middle of the strings)
e) in the space where the strings are broken (the middle of the harp), the
denoms
3) a) at the top of the inlay, following the curve, the words "RUSTY HARP'S" (my
name)
b) on the bottom, again following the curve, the words "POKER PALACE"
(flexible on that)
c) in the middle, you guessed it, a rusty harp (or 2 or 3--if there is more than
1 harp, i would take the apostrophe out of "HARP'S," making it plural
instead of possessive)
d) under the harp, or in the middle of it, the denoms
In all of these I would like to squeeze in, in a smaller font, the year (2007) and/or "Mayville, NY" (my home town) if possible.
Choice 3 is my favorite, but I realize it may be extremely difficult to illustrate a rusty harp, especially in such a small space.
Pretty much every aspect of these concepts is flexible. I appreciate anything you fine artists come up with.
I also respect your opinions, so if you like something or don't like something, please chime in.
Thanks,
Russ |

I saw that "offer" in another post and it appeared to be well-received. Looking back though, the person making the offer (smoore) has a pretty high rep. level, so I can understand why people would be willing to put out a good deal of work for him. You're right, I don't think I should be afforded that kind of respect. Thank you for pointing that out.
Now, if someone is willing to attempt this, please let me know what it would take. Thank you.

This could change how the inlay is done. |

Chips: 1,700 | | | Re: new ideas for my BC (formerly ASM) order There's no reason not to ask I just wanted to offer a little perspective. There are quite a few designers here who love helping folks out, but even simple things take a good deal of time.
In short don't forget to offer booze too. |

Chips: 1,546 | | | Re: new ideas for my BC (formerly ASM) order It's not well balanced and I'm not crazy about the fonts, But here's a start:
It's not well balanced, the sides are too empty. I'm also not sure if that's the type of harp you wanted. There are definatelly better people on here to do mockups for you, but I'll try to help you out.
Check out some font's and let me know which ones you like. A good site is www.dafont.com. If you click on a font type (Gothic or something) there will be a box that allows you to type in text to see how it would look. Stonehenge is kind of cool, so are some others. Also if you don't like the harp, try to google for a harp and post a picture of one you liike. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
