Re: Interested in taking part in a trade group? What type?

I personally love the round-robin rules that GO posted and am wondering whether or not we could do a RR and incorporate all the types of chips that folks are interested in trading in a single RR?

I'm unclear though on just how it's started and by whom...

I was reading up on GO's post too. I think you can pretty much do anything in the RR. As long as the person puts back the same type of chip that they took out. The question is how many of each type of chips would you put in there? I guess that also depends on how many people is in the RR. I would think you would start it since you're organizing it. It will end up back to you with the same amount of chips or more.

Re: Interested in taking part in a trade group? What type?

That's my take on it too pretty much. Just want to be sure that I am understanding the format correctly.

I've got lots of traders, but they're not all in new/uncirculated condition. It sounds like they need to be so I'll have to sift through to see how many I have that fit that bill.

I'll plan on including fantasy, casino - U.S. and foreign, custom, UFC, illegal and personal. Now we just need to establish who will be included in the initial RR and in what order it will travel I guess.

Other ideas or thoughts?

Definitly count me in.

You could also include circulated chips. They dont have to be in good or mint condition as long as when someone takes them they replace it with a chip of equal condition.

Just a thought.

I agree, the uncirculated/new condition chips may not be required. Maybe if we included slightly used casino chips it may make it easier. The big thing is the condition for condition trade requirement.

Count me in.

I third that. As long as the same type and condition, it'll work. I'm in!

That seem like a huge load of chips you want to do in one RR, do you really want to put that many chips in one package? I suggest separating them, maybe casino - U.S. and foreign, illegal in one RR and customs, UFC, fantasy and personal in another. JMO

Not a huge load. I'm thinking of one or two of each variety that are in the best condition. How many chips are others thinking about running this thing with? Jim - what about your experience?

I would think that the more chips the better.

If you look at the RR Gaming Ore was recently in on the ChipBoard, The round robin included 110 traders.

I would like more chips as if the RR only included a few chips of each type there is a good chance there will be chips I already have or am not interested in.

More is good. I'd hate for the postage costs to kill us though. Would be nice to fit a priority mail flat rate envelope. I would think that 4-5 pocket pages would fit nicely in a padded bubble mailer inserted in a flat rate enveloped. What do you guys think of that idea for quantity and shipping?
