Chips: 908 | | | jamby's Chesterfield Club chips for trade I still have several of the non-denominational chips that were used as $1 chips both at the Chesterfield Club in Michigan and then later at the Nevada Club/Nevada Lodge.
I've now added a complete 5-chip sample set for trade comprised of one pristeen non-denom along with a 5, 10, 20 and 50 chip from the Chesterfield Club. All are in awesome condition - especially considering their age.

Chips: 908 | | | Re: jamby's Chesterfield Club chips for trade I'm clueless on this one. No hint of brass or brass flakes on these chips as far as I can tell.

Crest & Seal by USPC http://www.antiquegamblingchips.com/uspc.htm
shipped 1936 to Chesterfield Club, Detroit Michigan. Lincoln Fitzgerald, the owner of the illegal mob run club, named it after his favorite cigarettes.

Chips: 908 | | | Re: jamby's Chesterfield Club chips for trade Yes, they are definitely C&S. No idea that USPC was the manufacturer though. They're in amazing condition for their age. There's a lot of history in these chips. Legendar illegal gaming, traveling across country. Pretty cool stuff.

Chips: 3,968 | | | Re: jamby's Chesterfield Club chips for trade I've read that the club wasn't named for Fitzgerald's favorite cigarette, but rather one of his business partners in Detroit...
Fitzgerald was part of the notorious Purple Gang, that gained power in Detroit during Prohibition (thanks to the proximity of Canada). AL Capone decided to befriend the Purples, rather than make them enemies, and some of the Purples participated in the St. Valentine's Day Massacre...

-jamby | I can attest to the condition of the chips. I just received one of these beauties from Jamby in a trade and am very happy with it (this is my first C&S).
Thanks Jamby!
