Chips: 898 | | | 2nd giveaway - ChipTalk Lonestar Roundup 300 pc chipset Some of you might be following this thread http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/chiptalk-contests-tournaments/45522-chiptalk-lone-star-roundup-300pc-chipset-raffle.html where a kmalsom custom designed chipset commemorating the upcoming LoneStar Roundup will be raffled off to a lucky entrant in our contest. It's a 300 pc tourney chipset designed by Matthew for optimal playability. JCTC will be handling all the raffles and prize awards at the meet-up and has come up with a terrific Texas Hold 'em inspired method to award the chispet that is described fully in the thread. The attendees decided to chip in to have a second identical set made during the group buy. That set will also be awarded at the meet-up next weekend. Jeff came up with an alternative award process for the meet-up attendees as follows in his own words: At the meetup...
Each person is going to be issued a card from a throwaway deck. We'll record the names and card when we issue them.
For the chipset to be raffled to the attendees...
We will put the tiles for everyone in a bag, and as someone is knocked out of the ME, they will withdraw a tile and "knock someone out" of the running for the set. The runner up of the ME will pull the last tile, and the winner will pull the winning tile out of the bag. This means that the set will be awarded at the end of the ME.
Since every attendee is playing in the ME, it works out great and should be lots of fun. We'll post the results here so you all can follow the action.

80 x T25
80 X T100
60 X T500
60 X T1000
20 X NCV
And here's what the chips look like. We'll be using them at the meet-up in the Main Event.

Chips: 1,972 | | | Re: 2nd giveaway - ChipTalk Lonestar Roundup 300 pc chipset Okay. Here's the deal. Since I wasn't in the other raffle and can't win that set...
Good luck to me!
I need more chips!!!
By the way, the tiles that are described in Jamby's post are small tiles that have numbers and suits on them. So each card issued to ME participant will have a corresponding tile in the bag.
I look forward to seeing you all next week end. |

Chips: 898 | | | Re: 2nd giveaway - ChipTalk Lonestar Roundup 300 pc chipset I especially love Jeff's idea for eliminating those in the running to win the chipset as each player is eliminated from the ME because it add's excitement and drama as each player gets busted. Should be great fun.

Chips: 898 | | | Re: 2nd giveaway - ChipTalk Lonestar Roundup 300 pc chipset The lucky winner of the 300 piece Lone Star Roundup tourney chipset is Geewh41! I can personally attest to the fact that this a most deserving win as Tom is one of the few CTers who did not previously own a set of high quality chips. He's on a real rush this weekend too, winning two tourneys (SnG and the Heads Up event) so far and finishing in the money in the ME. Watch out today in the HORSE event!
