Chips: 312 | | | Where are the Super Bowl chip challenge bets between the Boston and New York guys? So I was shocked not to see any type of Super Bowl bet type chip challenges between the Boston guys and the New York guys! I mean I know for a fact that there are plenty of vocal(to put it nicely)Boston area chiptalkers and vocal(to put it nicely)New Yorker chiptalkers on here that would be willing to place some type of chip wager on the Super Bowl!
I myself choose not to partake since I am a Steeler fan and have no business in this bet!
C'mon don't disappoint let's see those chip wagers!!! |

Chips: 1,011 | | | Re: Where are the Super Bowl chip challenge bets between the Boston and New York guys I'll bet a straight up win. 5 mint Olivia 1's that Pats win. Will wager against 5 Ritz $25's or $100's or 3 Dunes $5 or $25 (Paulson..not commemorative). You don't have to be a NYG fan...just a "Pats hatah y'all whoop whoop wheeeeeez" |

I'll have to agree, if this was the Sox against the Yanks, there would be some jawing.
As for the game, the Giants played the Patriots tough in December, but I don't think they'll win the S.B. For some reason, I think it could be a blowout but I'll just take a win, as I don't care what the score will be in the end, I just want to see a good game.

The difference is, that the Patriots are a much better team than the Cowboys and Packers.
The Patriots beat the Giants team, that was the same team that both of those teams faced.
Any given Sunday might be true but the Super Bowl isn't any given Sunday, and that will be the difference. The Giants can play, they have a good coach but the better team will prevail it's that simple.

I seem to remember the Patriots taking down a "better" team in the superbowl when they beat the Rams back before this whole dynasty got rolling.
Don't get me wrong, I have no doubt the Patriots will win (note that I said the same exact thing about the Rams whatever year that was), just don't tempt the fate gods

Statistical odds all favor the Pats because of those past results, but as you know trip Aces can and do get beat by a river flush or straight every once in awhile.
Yes, the Patriots right now as well as all season are better than everyone. Just because they beat the Giants who in turn beat the Cowboys and Packers means absolutely nothing other than on paper.
The hardest game the Patriots have yet to play is the one that puts them at 19-0. That is more important than the super bowl because it represents not only the super bowl ring and trophy, but something that has never been done in professional sports history except for once in 1972. The fear of a one loss season if the Pats get behind could change the entire game on the spot. The pressure on these guys will put a lot of stress on them mentally as they prepare and none of them has even gone through this type of pressure before. The Giants on the other hand have a different pressure but not one that will weigh them down, but motivate them possibly beyond their norm.
You never know which team will show up....one play either way can make or break an entire game. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
