CardPlayer Cruise for a ChipTalker event...

Is there any interest in trying to coordinate a bunch of CTers to take part in a CardPlayer poker cruise? Here's a link to the CP web page detailing the events http://www.cardplayercruises.com/.

There's an upcoming reasonably priced 7-day Mexican Riviera cruise in December that looks appealing. They've also got 2008 poker cruises listed.

Is this just a crazy idea or do you guys also think it would be great fun for us to have a meet-up on the water?

Re: CardPlayer Cruise for a ChipTalker event...

I'd be interested in a July-August '08 meetup.

That'll give us enough time to get custom ASM's for it. I call dibs on designing the $100 chip.

Re: CardPlayer Cruise for a ChipTalker event...

I could be interested if the price and time was right. But it would be hard to do in 2008 as we have plans for a Med. cruise.

FYI, I was on a 10 day Mexican Riviera from San Francisco last year for price of $499 on the Dawn Princess. They did not have holdem poker at that time but I understand that the ship do have holdem now.

Re: CardPlayer Cruise for a ChipTalker event...

Thanks for the posts and additional ideas folks.

I'm interested especially in the CardPlayer sponsored cruises. I believe they're all on the Holland ship line. I'd be interested and open to checking out others too though.

I've heard that they're incredibly well-run and have the most poker of any of the cruises that claim to be poker related.

The 7-day Mexican Riviera cruises start at $599, which seems pretty reasonable to me.

LOL - not sure about custom ASMs though, as fun as that sounds.

Ok, I will definitely be in if it's in summer of '09, which I can disguise as being for my tenth anniversary. "What's that honey, there's poker on this boat? And Chiptalkers! What are the chances!?"

Anniversaries and cruises go hand in hand. That was how I got into cruising. The wife had to drag me on board the first time on our 25th, now I am the one dragging her onto the ship.

I am in!

My local Indian Casino has "Saturday Cruisin" this month.
For every hour you play in the Poker Room on Saturday's you get one raffle
ticket for the Card Player December Mexican Riv. Cruise for two.

I won it tonight!

Being extremely single the toughest part will be finding someone to join me

Great Night at the tables!!
